Selecting the recording mode By selecting a recording mode, you determine the picture quality of recordings and the maximum of possible recording time on a disc. 1Switch your TV set on. Activating or deactivating the write protection (DVD+R, DVD+RW discs only) You can prevent a recording on a DVD+RW disc from accidental erasure by protecting it. However, the protection can be activated for the entire disc only. An individual recording cannot be protected.
