If so, click [Yes], and install it. If you install the software on a PC that is not compatible with DirectX 9.0c, the PC may not work properly. 82LSQT1562 With a PC Setup 2 Connection and recognition After the software is installed, the unit must be connected to the PC and be correctly recognized by the PC. ≥Remove the supplied CD-ROM from your PC. ≥ Use the AC adaptor to free you from worrying about the battery running down. ¬ Turn on this unit. 1Connect this unit to a PC. The USB function selection screen will appear. 2Select [PC/RECORDER] and press the joystick. This unit is automatically detected by the PC. ≥When the unit is connected to a PC, its power cannot be turned off. Disconnect the USB cable before turning this unit off. (l 83) ≥ Do not disconnect the USB cable, AC adaptor or remove the battery while the access lamp is on or access icon ( ) appears on the LCD monitor. Doing so may damage the data on the SD card. ≥ It may be necessary to reboot the PC after connecting this unit to it for the first time. When the unit is connected to a PC, it is recognized as an external drive. ≥ Only the readout of data using the PC can be performed when the battery is used. (“ ¢¢¢” denotes base-16 (hexadecimal) characters from 001 to FFF.) ≥ Up to 99 files can be recorded in the [PRG ¢¢¢ ] folder. ≥ JPEG format still pictures (IMGA0001.JPG etc.) are stored in the [100CDPFP] folder. ≥ Up to 999 files can be recorded in the [100CDPFP] or other such folder. ≥ The DPOF setting files are stored in the [MISC] folder. ∫ Copying still pictures on PC When the unit is connected to a PC and the SD card can be used as an external drive, still pictures on the drive can be copied to the PC with Windows Explorer or other programs. 1 Double click the folder that contains the files on the drive ([100CDPFP] etc.). 2 Drag and drop the files onto the destination folder (on the PC hard disk). ≥Do not delete the SD card’s folders. Doing so may make the SD card unusable in this unit. ≥ Always use this unit to format SD cards. 1Double click the ( ) icon in task tray. 90LSQT1562 Others Indications 2 Messages THIS CARD CANNOT RECORD IN VIDEO MODE. An 8 MB or 16 MB SD card has been inserted in video recording mode. CHECK CARD. This card is not compatible or it cannot be recognized by the unit. ERROR OCCURRED. RECORDING IS STOPPED. ≥When using an SD card that can be used for motion picture recording ( l21) When this message appears, it is recommended that you format the SD card being used. ( l63) When an SD card is formatted, all the data recorded on it will be deleted. Back up the data on the SD card to a PC, etc. before formatting the SD card. ≥ When using any other card Use a Panasonic SD card or another SD card which can be used to record motion pictures. (l21) EXIT THE MENU THEN CHANGE TO MANUAL MODE. CANCEL MAGICPIX MODE. You are attempting to use a function that cannot be used simultaneously. ERROR OCCURRED. PLEASE TURN UNIT OFF, THEN TURN ON AGAIN. An irregularity in the unit has been detected. Restart the unit by turning off and on the power. DISCONNECT USB CABLE. The unit cannot correctly establish the connection to the PC or printer. Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable and then select the desired USB function again. CANNOT OPERATE WHILE CONNECTED TO COMPUTER. The unit’s power cannot be turned off when the unit is connected to the PC. ALL CONTENTS OF THIS DISC WILL BE DELETED. DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE?
