6061 Groups The "Groups" page allows you to create logical groups of cameras and oth\ er items connected to one or more systems. This is a useful when you have multiple systems with a large nu\ mber of cameras spread across a large building or campus, and you would like to place cameras in logical\ ly named groups such as First Floor, Second Floor instead of viewing your cameras in default groups based on \ their connection to the systems.Create a new group by clicking on the [New] button. q In the "Group Configuration" section, enter a name and description for\ the group. w Select an icon to represent the group in the Live and Search site trees.\ e Select a camera from the "Available Items" list. 6465 System information "System Usage" displays the users that are cur- q rently logged in, the user's access level and IP address, and the number of streams being viewed. "Version Information" displays the version num- w bers for each of this system file. This information can be useful when contacting technical support. To view the system log, select a start date and e time, end date and time, and select the type of messages you want to see from the "System Log Level" drop-down list, and click the [Search] but- ton. All messages that meet the search criteria are listed. To sort the list, click any of the column titles. r To view the system log with a text editor, click the t [Export] button and save the file. Then you can open the file from the location where you saved it."Maximum Days Storage" determines the maxi- y mum number of days that information is main- tained in the system log. 6667 Troubleshooting Before asking for repairs, check the symptoms with the following table. Check if the compression method and resolution is compati- • ble with the registered camera. 4 Check the settings of IP address, subnet mask and default • gateway for the network cameras and PC. 10 When trying to display H.264/MPEG-4 images via Internet, • images may not be displayed. Refer to the network adminis- trator because of the effects of the network devices including router setting. With the client software (ASM200/ASM970), the follow- ing is observed: Refresh of live images is • unstable. Network performance is • poor. Downloaded images are not • displayed correctly. The images are not dis- • played, recorded or played back. The configured settings for transmission rate/recording rate • may be beyond the maximum network performance. Lower the value/rate of the settings relating to the network such as the transmission rate, recording rate, etc. 10 No audio is output using the client software (ASM200/ ASM970). Audio is not supported by the client software (ASM200/ • ASM970). (As of October, 2013) 3 The [Check for Updates] button in the "Configuration/System/ Update" window does not function.
