Volume Adjustment Press the Volume Up “+” or Down “-” button to increase or decrease the sound volume level. RETURN button Press the RETURN button to return to previous menu screen. Position buttons OK button Press to make selections. SLEEP button The Plasma Display can be preset to switch to Power-OFF after a fi xed period. The setting changes to 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 0 minutes (sleep timer cancelled) each time the button is pressed. 30 60 090 Remaining time fl ashes from 3 minutes before the time is reached. Pressing the SLEEP button when the timer is set causes the remaining time to be displayed. Press the SLEEP button again while the remaining time is displayed to change the sleep timer setting.

Note: The available aspect modes depend on the receiving signal. • 480i, 480p (4:3), 480p (16:9) : 4:3, FULL, JUST or ZOOM • 1080i/720p : 16:9 only ASPECT INPUT POWER MUTE RECALL VOL MENU ASPECT SLEEPRETURN OK ASPECT Aspect Controls [from the unit] The aspect mode changes each time the ASPECT button is pressed.JUST 4:3 ZOOM FULL Mode Picture Explanation 4 : 3 4 : 3 3 4 Displays a 4:3 picture at its standard 4:3 size with gray side bars. (It may create an after-image on screen if displayed for a prolonged period of time.) ZOOM ZOOM4 316 9Expands a 4:3 picture uniformly (width and height) to full screen width and then repositions the picture vertically. (Recommended for letterbox. This will show picture at full screen size.) FULL FULL4 316 9 Displays a picture at full screen size. (Recommended for anamorphic pictures.) JUST JUST4 39 16 Stretches the right and left edges of a 4:3 picture to fi ll the screen, and the center of the screen has aspect correction applied. The size of the picture depends on the original signal. (Recommended for regular TV viewing.)

Press to select the picture mode. • Vivid (default) : Provides enhanced picture contrast and sharpness for viewing in a well-lit room. • Standard : Recommended for normal viewing conditions with subdued room lighting. • Cinema : For watching movies in a darkened room. Select HD or SD to adjust color parameters automatically for HD (high defi nition) or SD (standard defi nition). Note: This feature is available only with 480p signal. Press to select or adjust the sub-menu. Press to select the sub-menu. Press to select or adjust the sub-menu. Press to select “Audio”. Press to enter sub-menu. Press the MENU button to display the Main menu. Reset Bass, Treble and Balance adjustments to factory default settings. Increase or decrease the bass response. Increase or decrease the treble response. Emphasize the left / right speaker volume. AI Sound Equalize overall volume levels. Note: Fixed to “Off” when “Speakers” is set to “Off”. Surround Enhances audio response when listening to stereo. • On : For stereo audio. • Off : For monaural audio. Note: Fixed to “Off” when “Speakers” is set to “Off”. Speakers This feature is used to turn Internal speakers “On” or “Off” (see page 11, Amplifi er Connection). • On : Internal speakers operate normally. • Off : Internal speakers off. Note: “AI Sound”, “Surround” and “Audio Leveler” are not available when selecting “Off”.Press the “OK” key to display “Other Adjust” menu. (See below) HDMI In When using HDMI (see page 9), this feature will let you switch between Analog or Digital Input. • Auto : Automatically selects Analog / Digital signal. • Digital : Digital Input only. • Analog : Analog Input only. Audio Leveler The audio leveler monitors the difference in audio levels between input signals from external equipment and minimizes the change in output volume that could occur when switching input signals. Select “Set” to power the Display on at the same time as the connected components are powered on. Press to select “Side Bar”. Press to select “Off”, “Dark”, “Mid”, “Bright”. Do not display a picture in 4:3 mode for an extended period, as this can cause an after- image to remain on either or both sides of the display fi eld. To reduce the risk of such an after-image, change the brightness of the side bars.
