    Cannot control a recorder.
    RECORDER ERROR is dis-
    played on the monitor, and
    recorder control is unavail-
    able.
    During sequence, black
    screen and NOT
    ASSIGNED are displayed on
    the monitor.
    Auxiliary control does not
    become OFF even after the
    sequence, timer event, or
    alarm event ends.
    Timer event or camera event
    is not activated.
    • Check the LCD (or LED) display or indicators of system con-
troller. When Busy (or the BUSY indicator) is blinking (or
lighting), recorder control is not available.
    14, 15
    • Depending on the recorder status, response may be delayed.
Check the status and retry the control.–
    • Did you edit the TEXT INFORMATION window using the but-
tons on the front panel of recorder? In this case, the selected
system controller becomes unavailable. Close the TEXT
INFORMATION window using the buttons on the front panel
    of recorder.
    –
    • Check if Monitor 2 is selected with the MONITOR1/MONI-
TOR2 button of recorder. (Refer to the operating instructions
of recorder for details.) As the unit is connected to the MONI-
TOR OUT 2 connector of recorder, do not select Monitor 1
with the MONITOR1/MONITOR2 button of recorder. When
you have selected Monitor 1, perform an operation that is
available for Monitor 2 only (playback, etc.). Monitor 2 will be
    selected automatically.
    • Check the connection and settings between the recorder and
    the unit.
    • Check if the recorders version is correct.
WJ-HD300 Series: Ver. 1.61 or later
WJ-HD300A Series: Ver. 3.10 or later
    • Check if the sequence setting contains LCNs or camera
positions not registered. (When the setting contains camera
positions not registered, only black screen is displayed.)
    • If the sequence, timer event, or alarm event has turned on
the auxiliary control, the auxiliary control does not become
OFF automatically. Turn off the auxiliary control manually, or
set an event that turns off the auxiliary control.
    • If the timer event or camera event is set to be activated at the
start time of the summer time (daylight saving time), the
    event will not be activated.
    • If the setting data is uploaded after the start time, the event
    will not be activated.
    • Timer event will not be activated when monitors are selected
by operators with higher priority than the timer event, display-
ing SETUP MENU, or being in the alarm mode.
