Settings
AUTO PC adjust
Select [PC adjust] from the Main Menu (see 
“Navigating through the menu” on page 36), 
then select the item from the sub-menu.
Remote ControlControl Panel
Auto PC adj.
Auto PC adjustment function is provided to 
automatically adjust Fine sync, Total dots, Horizontal 
and Vertical positions to conform to your computer.
Press ▲▼ to select [Auto PC adj.] and 
then press the  button. 
Please wait... z appears while the Auto PC 
adjustment is in process.
To store adjustment parameters
The adjusted parameters from the Auto PC adjustment 
can be stored in the projector. Once the parameters 
are stored, the setting can be done just by selecting a 
Mode (1–10) in the System Menu (see page 39). See 
also [Store] on page 43.
Attention
[Fine sync], [Total dots], [Horizontal] and [Vertical]  z
position of some computers cannot be fully adjusted 
with the Auto PC adjustment function. When the 
image is not provided properly with this operation, 
manual adjustments are required (Æpages 42-43). 
When you select [480i], [576i], [480p], [576p],  z
[720p], [1035i] or [1080i] in the System Menu 
under computer input signal (Æpage 39)  , 
or when the signal is coming from the HDMI 
IN terminal, the Auto PC adjustment function 
cannot be operated.

Some computers employ special signal formats 
which may not be tuned by Multi-scan system of this 
projector.  Manual PC adjustment enables you to 
precisely adjust several parameters to match those 
signal formats. The projector has 10 independent 
memory areas to store those parameters manually 
adjusted. It allows you to recall the setting for a 
specific computer.
Fine sync

This mode helps enhance the image projected  z
on a blackboard. This is mainly effective on a 
green colored board, not truly effective on a 
black colored board.
Colorboard
For the image projected on a colorboard.
Press ▲▼ to select [Colorboard].1 )

[Green], and press the

At the time of simple projection on the colored  z
wall, you can get the close color image to the

Projector image may be distorted due to different computers or different input signals.When you select [480i], [576i], [480p], [576p], [720p],  z[1035i] or [1080i] in System Menu under computer input signal (Æpage 39) , [True] is disabled and cannot be 
displayed. When [True] is selected in the Screen menu, [Digital  zzoom +/-] cannot be selected.
Natural wide (PT-VW440U Only)
Modify the 4:3 aspect ratio image to fit the screen size  
by stretching the image to make it look natural.
Press ▲▼ to select [Natural wide] and 
then press the  button. 
Note
When input video signal to the projector, [Natural wide]  z
will be available.
When you select [720p], [1035i] or [1080i] in System  z
Menu under component input signal (Æpage 40), [Natural 
wide] is disabled and cannot be displayed. 
Custom
Provide the last stored aspect screen image.

Note
When input computer signal to the projector, [D.ZOOM z 
+/–] will be available.
[Digital zoom +/-] cannot be selected when [True] is  z
selected in the Screen menu.
[Digital zoom -] cannot be selected when [Custom] is  z
selected in the Screen menu.
When you select [480i], [576i], [480p], [576p], [720p],  z
[1035i] or [1080i] in the System Menu under computer 
input signal (Æpage 37), [Digital zoom +/–] are disabled 
and cannot be displayed.
When [Digital zoom +/–] functions are disabled,  z mark will appear.
Keystone
This function is used to adjust keystone distortion of 
the projected image.
