    (Outgoing Messale)
    The purpose of the Outgoing message is to inform the calling party that you cannot answer.the calj, but want
    lo record the callers message.

    oPush OGM START/STOP button.
    .Adjust the volume control to confirm.
    oWait until the In Use Indicator goes out.
    lf you want to record again, repeat from
    step 1.
    Push the REC button, while holding it,
    push the OGM START/STOP button
    untilthe beep sound is heard.
    Speak clearly and loudly into the MlC.
    oSpeak for up to 30 seconds about 8 inches
    away lrom the MlC.
    oWhile recording, do not pause lor over
    2 seconds.oThe LCD Display will show| 2 -+ 3 -)...... 30.
    When finished, push OGM START/
    STOP button.oWait untilthe In Use Indicator goes out.oA series of short beeps will be heard to
    advance the tape followed by a long beep
    signaling that the unit is at the beginning of
    the tape.
    o lf you make a mistake, repeat lrom step 1 .
    SPEAK INTO WHEN FINISHEO,MlC, PUSH AGAII\.
    The unit will automatically change to the
    Answer mode after 7 seconds lrom when
    the In Use Indlcator goes out.
    And the unit will announce the day and
    time.
    Note
    lf you pause for over 2 seconds while
    recording, a beep will sound 6 times and the
    unit will announce Please record your
    Outgoing messageagain.. lf this happens,
    wait until the In Use Indicator goes out and
    start with step 1 again.
    oSet Recording Time to 1 Minute orttVoxtt.
    Hello, this is (the Panasonic Company). We
    cannot answer your call at this time. lf you
    leave your name and phone number, we will
    return your call as sodn as possible. Speak
    clearly after you hear the beep.
    (You have 1 minute to leave your message.)
    lf End of tape. is announced, your
    message wlll not be recorded. Should
    this happen please call back tomorrow.
    Note:
    When the ICM tape is full, the unit will not
    record any more messages. This is
    indicated to the caller by the announcement.
    ll you wish to inform the caller of this
    possibility, add the sentences (printed in
    bold-face above) to you OGM recording.

    							Prior to Leaving
    Listening to
    Messagbs
    The unit will automatically set to the Answermode by simply pushing the Power Switch.When the telephone rings, the unit will play backthe OGM, then it will record the Callersmessages and the time and day of the messagewill be recorded on the ICM taoe.
    After reviewing the Outgoing or Incoming
    message the unit will automatically reset itself to
    the Answer mode and will be ready to answer the
    next call.
    I lf you use a new ICM tape or record luture
    messages f rom the beginning of the tape,push the REW button,
    I Confirm that the Answer Indicator light is onand that the LC-Display shows 0.
    I lf you do nol want to set the unit to the Answermode, set the Power Switch to off.
    When an Incoming message (lQM) has beenrecorded, the LC-Display will Shonv thenumberof calls and the Answer Indicator will flash. ln thecase of a power interruption, the Lc-Display willshow -- after the power is restoidil.
    oPush the PlaybacUPause button to listen tothe recorded messages,
    Auto-Logic (One Touch Operation)
    The unit will announce the number of messages ,
    received and the ICM tape will automaticallyrewind and begin to play back. At the end of allthe messages End of tlnal message will beheard. 7 seconds after End of final message is
    announced the unit will reset back to the Answer
    mode.
    oThe unit will announce the time and day when nthe lncoming message was recorded.
    oFuture lncomlng messagea wlll be recordedafter the last message.
    To record lrom the beglnnlng of the tape,push the Rewind button.
    .To stop the tape temporarily, push the
    PlaybacUPause button. (The In Use
    Indicator will flash.)
    To restart, push it again,
    tll.ll - to rewind the tape.

    When the messages are received, a voice
    synthesized announcement of the time and ddy
    will be recorded on the ICM tape after recording
    message.
    After reviewing, the LC-Display will show0.
    To record future messages afterthe last message.
    Leave the unit as lt is.
    To record luture messages from
    the beginning of the tape.
    Push the REW button. 
    						
    							Other Features
    While an Incoming call is being recorded, you
    can hear it.
    1 ROiust the Volume Control.
    To talk to the caller directly during
    recording of the Incoming call, lift the
    handset.oThe ICM tape will stop after recording the
    synthesized voice of time and day.
    Before operation, set the 2 WAY BEEP to on.
    (Reler to Programmable Two Way Beep on
    page 27.\
    Many States have regulations on the manner in
    which 2-Way Telephone Conversations may be
    recorded. Consult your public utility agency.
    1 Confirm the Answer System On/Off

    2 While having a conversation,

    oThe messages are erased while rewinding or
    fast forwarding.
    oThe cassette can be erased at high speed even
    if the record-prevention (knock-out) tabs have
    been removed.

    							Transferring the Incoming Messages
    lf a phone number ls stored Into the transfer
    station and the unit is set to the transfer mode,
    each time the ICM is recorded, the unit will
    automatically dialthe number to which the ICM is
    to be transferred.
    Storing the Transfer Number
    Store the phone number to which you want to
    transfer the ICM lnto the transfer station.

    lf a phone number is stored inlo the transler
    station and transferring tlme is irbgrammed,the unit will automatically dial and transmit all the
    recorded messages when the transferring time
    comes. (Reler to How to Adjust Day and Time

    							How to Operate from Remote Phone
    You can retrieve the recorded Incoming messages from a remote location with tone telephone.-.
    Remote operation is simplified by a synthesized voice that offers you options over the telephonel
    Before operation, choose a onedigit through
    three-digit remote code number and store it in
    memory.
    Example: 358
    Be sure the handset is on the cradle and the
    SP-PHONE button is off.

    The synthesized voice will give you the
    direction how to operate your unit from a
    remote location using a tone telephone.
    You can easily play back the received
    messages, re-record the OGM, or recordMarker Message etc., according to the unitVoice Menu without anY manuals.
    To operate the unit directly skipping the order of
    the Voice Menu, see page 17.
    Example:
    Playing back the received messages.
    1) Call your unit.
    Push your Remote Code No. during
    the OGM playback.
    oThe voice will tell you how many messages
    you have received.
    After 5 seconds, the voice will say;Please push 1 for PIay Back. Please
    push 2 for another f unction.
    Push the 1 to play back the received
    messages.
    oThe unit will play back all the recorded
    messages.

    Play Back
    The unit will rewind the tape even if the tape is
    lull and play back all the recorded messages.
    oAfter the last message, the voice will say; €nd

    olf you want to operate in succession, wait for
    5 seconds. The unit will re-start Voice Menu
    from the beginning.oll End of tape is announced, the ICM tape is
    full.
    Memory Play Back
    The unit will play back the newly recorded
    messages.
    Reset
    The unit will rewind the tape to the beginning.
    Marker Message
    You can leave your index message on the ICM
    taoe.
    1) Start to talk right atler Marker lhfessage is
    announced.
    2) When finished, hang up.
    Answer Back
    You can turn on built-in Speakerphone, screenany sound in the room where the unit is installed
    and contrary, and any one in that room will beable to hear your voice. (Refer to To Turn onthe Speakerphone on page 18,)
    oYou can screen any sound lor 30 seconds,

    You can re-record the OGM remotely.
    The voice will say;P/ease push 7 to start. Please push 9 to
    end..
    1 ) Push the 7.
    oShort beeps will be heard continuously until
    the OGM taoe has reset and then a lono
    beep will be hdard.
    2) Speak clearly and loudly after the long beep.
    3) When finished, push the 9.
    oThe new Outgoing message will be play
    back. So you can check or amend it.olf you pause for over 2 seconds while
    recording, the unit will sound 6 beeps and
    announce Please record your Outgolng
    rnessage agaln..
    lf this happens, repeal from step 1.
    To rewi nd/fast forward/reset
    during playback
    Push the 9 while messages are being played,
    the voice will say;Please push 1 tor Back Space,2 for Skip, 3
    for Reset.

    .The tape will rewind or skip lorward for
    approximately 15 seconds corresponding to
    playback time,
    Push 3:
    oThe unit will rewind the tape to the beginning.
    -You may hang up at any time and the
    unit will automatically go into the
    Answer mode.
    ll you hang up without Resetting, future
    lncoming messages will be recorded alter
    the last message.

    lf the Volume Control of the unit has beenlowered, the other party may not be able tohear your page from the built-in speaker.oTo continue, push the 6 again within
    5 seconds of hearing a beep.

    Message Transler:
    Each time ICM is recorded, the unit will
    automatically dial the phone number to which theICM is transferred.
    Timer Message Transfer:
    The unit will automatically dial the transferred
    number at the time you have set and transmit allthe recored messages.
    PUSH CODE NO.OURING THE OGM
    Wait for 5 seconds after you hear the
    announcement of the number of recorded
    messages, the unit will go into the Voice Menu
    mode.
    (Refer to Voice Menu on page 14.)
    o lf you push the 4 right after you hear the
    announcement of the number of recorded
    messages within 5 seconds, the unit will play
    back the newly recorded messages at once.(Refer to Memory Playback on page 17.)
    I When the handset is lifted at the
    transferred number, silence may be heard.
    This is due to a short OGM recording. At
    this time depress your code No. to listen
    to the translerred lCM.
    olf the transferred number is busy, the unit willredial up to 15 times whitin a 10-minute period.
    olf no one pick up the handset, the line will b€terminated after 1 minute.
    Then the unit will redial once after 1 minute.
    Even if you forget to program the transfer
    number, the number can be programmed from aremote phone.
