    Set the file number of the MOV/MP4 and still picture recorded next to 0001.

    If you press the USER button to which [Wi-Fi] is registered in Recording Mode, you can set items in 
    the [Wi-Fi Setup] menu. Please refer to page  61 for details about setting the USER button.

    Using the smartphone app “Image App”, you can transfer clock information and wireless access 
    point information (SSID and password) between a smartphone and  this unit. (l120 )
    You can add or delete wireless access points, or rearrange the  display order of wireless access

    You can set up a direct connection between this unit and a smar tphone. (l125)
    This will disconnect the Wi-Fi connection.
    You can enable/disable the NFC function.
    This will set/clear the Password to limit the startup of the Wi -Fi setting menu.

    About recovery
    If faulty management information is found, the messages may app ear and a repair is performed. 
    (Repairing may take time depending on the error.)
    ≥  is displayed when abnormal management information is detected  when the scenes are 
    displayed in thumbnail.
    ≥ Use a sufficiently charged battery or the AC adaptor.
    ≥ Depending on the condition of the data, it may not be possible  to completely repair the data.
    ≥ If recovery fails, it will not be possible to play back scenes  recorded before the unit turned off.
    ≥ When data recorded on another device is recovered, it may not b e possible to play back the data 
    on this unit or the other device.
    ≥ If recovery fails, turn the unit off and on again after waiting  awhile. If recovery fails repeatedly, 
    format a media on the unit. Please be aware that if a media is  formatted, then all the data 
    recorded on the media will be erased.
    ≥ If the thumbnail information is recovered, displaying the thumb nails may become slower.
    Display
    Messages
    CHECK CARD.
    This card is not compatible or it cannot be recognized by the unit.
    If this message appears even though motion pictures and still p ictures are recorded on an SD 
    card, the card may be unstable. Reinsert the SD card, then turn  the unit off and then on again.
    INVALID/CANNOT SET.
    Since there is a condition to use the function, it is required to cancel/change other settings.
    THIS EXTERNAL DRIVE CANNOT BE USED./
    PLEASE CHECK THE EXTERNAL DRIVE.
    The external drive that this unit cannot recognize is connected. Check if the USB HDD can be 
    connected and used with this unit and try to reconnect. ( l102 )
    No wireless access point found/Connection failed. Please check  network settings of 
    connected device.
    ≥ Check the Wi-Fi set up of your wireless access point and smartp hone.
    ≥ [WPS Connection] can establish a connection only between two de vices: this unit and a 
    device that will connect to this unit. Check if multiple device s are trying to establish a 
    connection in the WPS waiting state simultaneously.
    ≥ Read page  127 if the Wi-Fi connection cannot be established.

    Troubleshooting
    The lens, the viewfinder or 
    LCD monitor fog up. ≥
    This is due to condensation. It is not a breakdown. Please refe r 
    to page  2.
    A clicking sound is heard 
    when the unit is shaken. ≥
    This is the sound of the lens moving and is not a defect.
    This sound will no longer be heard when the unit is turned on 
    and switch to Recording Mode.
    Object seems to be warped. ≥Object seems to be warped slightly when the object moves 
    across the image very fast, but this is because the unit is usi ng 
    MOS for the image sensor. This is not a malfunction.
    Power

    This unit cannot be turned 
    on.
    This unit does not stay on 
    long enough.
    Battery runs down quickly. ≥
    Charge the battery again to ensure it is sufficiently charged.

    ≥ In cold places, the battery u sing time becomes shorter.
    ≥ The battery has a limited life. If the operating time is still  too 
    short even after the battery is fully charged, the battery has 
    worn out and needs to be replaced.
    This unit cannot be 
    operated though it is 
    turned on.
    This unit does not operate 
    normally. ≥
    Remove the battery or AC adaptor, wait about 1 minute and 
    then reconnect the battery or AC adaptor. Then about 
    1 minute later, turn on the unit again. (Conducting the above 
    operation while the media is being accessed may damage the 
    data on the media.)
    ≥ If normal operation is still not restored, detach the power 
    connected, and consult the dealer who you purchased this 
    unit from.
    “ERROR OCCURRED. 
    PLEASE TURN UNIT OFF, 
    THEN TURN ON AGAIN.”

    The unit has automatically detected an error. Restart the unit 
    by turning off and on.
    ≥ The unit will be turned off in about 1 minute if the unit is no t

    dealer who you purchased this unit from. Do not attempt to

    Auto Focus function does

    Switch to Intelligent Auto Mode.
    ≥ If you are trying to record a scene which is hard to bring into  
    focus in Auto Focus Mode, use the Manual Focus Mode to 
    adjust the focus. ( l35, 39 )
    Color or brightness of the 
    image changes, or you 
    may see horizontal bars in 
    the image.
    The LCD monitor flickers 
    indoors. ≥
    Color or brightness of the image may change, or you may see 
    horizontal bars in the image when the object is recorded 
    under fluorescent light, mercury  light or sodium light, etc., but 
    this is not a malfunction.
    ≥ Record images in Intelligent Auto Mode or adjust the shutter 
    speed to 1/50, 1/60 or 1/100.
    ≥ Adjust the Synchro Scan shutter speed. ( l52)

    as   cannot be deleted. If the scenes/still pictures are 
    unnecessary, format the media to erase the data. ( l30) 
    Please be aware that if a media is formatted then all the data 
    recorded on the media is erased and cannot be recovered. 
    Back up important data on a PC etc.

    TV, images cannot be 
    seen.
    The images are squeezed 
    horizontally. ≥
    Please read the operating instructions of your TV and select 
    the channel that matches the input used for the connection.
    ≥ Change the setting of the unit depending on the cable 
    connecting to the TV. ( l91)
    Even when this unit is 
    connected to the TV by the 
    HDMI cable, images or 
    sounds are not output. ≥
    Check if the HDMI cable is connected correctly.
    ≥ Insert the HDMI cable all the way in.
    If the SD card is inserted in 
    another device, it is not

    Check that the device is compatible with the capacity or type 
    of SD card (SDHC Memory Card/SDXC Memory Card) that 
    you inserted. Refer to the operating instructions of the device  
    for details.
    ≥ To play back scenes in the recording format option [4K/60p 
    150M], you need a TV that supports 4K/60p. ( l89, 92 )
    When connected by the 
    USB cable, this unit is not 
    detected by the other 
    devices. ≥
    When connected to other devices using only the battery, 
    reconnect using the AC adaptor.
    With a PC

    After re-inserting the SD card into the unit, reconnect the 
    supplied USB cable.
    ≥ Select another USB terminal on the PC.

    ≥ Connect the supplied USB cable again after restarting the PC 
    and turning on this unit again.
    When the USB cable is 
    disconnected, an error 
    message will appear on

    To disconnect the USB cable safely, double-click the   
    icon in the task tray and follow the instructions on the screen .
    Cannot see the PDF 
    operating instructions for 
    HD Writer XE 2.0. ≥
    You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or later or Adobe 
    Reader 7.0 or later to read the PDF operating instructions for 
    HD Writer XE 2.0.
    About the Wi-Fi function
