    Endless Loop Recording
    ≥Insert an SD card.
    ≥ Change the Recording Mode to  . ( l43)
    1 Select sound in loop recording setting.
    2 Start recording.
    ≥Once you start recording, the scene will be automatically divided every 2 minutes. The divided 
    scenes will be saved in the SD card. (Each time you use Endless Loop Recording, a set of up to 
    30 scenes will be saved.)
    ≥ When the period between the time you start recording and the time you stop recording is longer 
    than 1 hour (approximate), only the last 1 hour (approximate) part up to the end of the recording 
    will be saved. The part before the 1 hour part will be deleted.
    ≥ Recording stops automatically when approximately 24 hours have passed since the start of the 
    recording.
    ≥ During recording, the   blinks.
    ≥ The remaining recordable time and elapsed recording time are not displayed. ( l22)
    ≥ Only when sound in loop recording is set to [ON],   (microphone input level meter) is 
    displayed.
    To switch sound in loop recordingThe menu can be set to switch to sound in loop recording.
    ≥Still pictures cannot be taken.
    ≥ [REC FORMAT] is set to [MP4/iFrame], and [REC MODE] is set to [720].
    ≥ Image Stabilizer Function is set to   (setting canceled) and Level Shot Function is set to off.

    ≥ Endless Loop Recording is not possible in the following cases:

    ≥ Since each set of loop-recorded scenes is displayed separately on the date list, it is convenient to 
    play back loop-recorded scenes by date. ( l82)

    Stop Motion Animation Assist [HC-V550]
    ≥ Change the Recording Mode to  . ( l43)
    1 Press the   button to record the still pictures. ( l24)
    2 Touch [Enter].
    ≥A still picture will be recorded, and it will be displayed in a semi-transparent state on the recording 
    screen. Look at the picture to estimate how far you should move the subject for the next 
    recording.
    ≥ If you have already recorded still pictures in the recording group, the last still picture will be 
    displayed in a semi-transparent state on the recording screen. 
    ≥ To record again, touch   and record again.
    3 Move the subject and determine the composition of the picture.≥Repeat Steps 1-3 to continue recording.
    ≥ You can save still pictures in the same recording group until you use [Create Stop Motion].
    Creating a new recording group
    ≥If you touch [YES], a new recording group will be created and the recording screen will be 
    displayed.
    ≥ Once you create a recording group, you cannot save still pictures in any of the older recording 
    groups.
    ≥[PICTURE SIZE] is set to   (1920 k1080).
    ≥ When you want to record still pictures in a separate recording group, use a different SD card.
    ≥ For details on playback of the Stop Motion Animation Assist Mode, refer to page  95.
    Before recording in Stop Motion Animation Assist ModeYou can create a slideshow that appears to be moving by recording the subject while moved a 
    little at a time.
    ≥Each recording group can store up to 999 still pictures recorded in Stop Motion Animation 
    Assist Mode.

    White Balance
    Automatic White Balance function may not reproduce natural colors depending on the scenes or 
    lighting conditions. If so, you can adjust the White Balance manually.

    stops flashing and then lights constantly, the setting is 
    complete.

    cannot be set. In this case, use other White Balance Modes.

    If you turn on the unit with the lens cover closed, the Auto White Balance will not be performed 
    correctly. Always open the lens cover before turning on the unit.
    ≥ When the   display flashes, the Manual White Balance previously adjusted is stored. 
    Whenever recording conditions change, re-set the White Balance.
    ≥ When setting both the White Balance and the iris/gain, set the White Balance first.

    Manual shutter speed/iris adjustment
    Shutter Speed:
    Adjust it when recording fast-moving subjects.
    Iris:
    Adjust it when the screen is too bright or too dark.
    ≥Switch to Manual Mode. ( l54)

    ≥ If [AUTO SLOW SHTR] is set to [ON], the shutter speed will be set between 1/30 and 1/8000.
    ≥ The shutter speed closer to 1/8000 is faster.
    ≥ The shutter speed will be set between 1/2 and 1/2000 in Still Picture Recording Mode.

    ≥When setting both the shutter speed and the iris /gain value, set the shutter speed and then set 
    the iris/gain value.
    Manual shutter speed adjustment
    ≥ When the shutter speed is set lower than 1/15 in the Still Picture Recording Mode, using a tripod 
    is recommended. The shutter speed will be set to 1/30 when the unit is turned on again or when 
    the Quick Start is performed.
    ≥ You may see a band of light around an object that is shining very bright, or highly reflective.
    ≥ During normal playback, image movement may not look smooth.
    ≥ If you record an extremely bright object or record under indoor lighting, color and screen 
    brightness may change or a horizontal line may appear on the screen. In this case, record in the 
    Intelligent Auto Mode or set the shutter speed to 1/60 in areas where the power supply frequency 
    is 60 Hz, or 1/100 in areas of 50 Hz.
    ≥ Brightness of the image displayed on the LCD monitor may be different from brightness of the 
    image actually recorded during the Still Picture Recording Mode. Confirm the image on the 
    playback screen after recording.
    Manual iris/gain adjustment
    ≥ If the gain value is increased, the noise on the screen increases.
    ≥ Depending on the zoom magnification, there are iris values that are not displayed.

    If auto focusing is difficult due to the conditions, then use Manual Focus.

    This unit is equipped with Hybrid Optical Image Stabilizer.
    Hybrid Optical Image Stabilizer is a hybrid of Optical and Electrical Image Stabilizer.
