112VQT3W31 Copying to discs ≥You cannot copy from multiple SD cards to 1 disc. (You can additionally copy only to a DVD-RAM.) ≥ You cannot copy motion pictures together with still pictures or motion pictures in a different picture quality (AVCHD picture quality and conventional normal picture quality) to the same disc. ≥ iFrame and MP4 scenes cannot be copied to disc. Copy to PC to make a backup. ( l120) ≥ When copying a scene in the built-in memory to a disc that includes a scene that was relay- recorded, the continued scene that is on the SD card will be copied together to the disc. 1Connect this unit to the DVD burner to prepare for copying. ( l110 ) 2Touch [BURN DISC]. 3Touch the desired items following the instructions on the screen. ≥It will return to the previ ous step by touching . ≥ (When [SELECT SCENES] is selected) When touched, the scene/still picture is selected and the indication appears on the thumbnail. The scenes recorded in 1080/60i format will be copied as high definition picture quality as recorded. [Standard] ([XP]/[SP]):Images are converted into the original standard picture quality and then copied. ≥ Since [XP] has a higher picture quality compared to [SP], the data capacity becomes large so that you may need more discs for copying than [SP]. In some cases the disc may get stuck in the device. Also, do not shake this unit or the DVD burner. ≥ It is impossible to stop copying halfway. ≥ The order in which the scenes were copied cannot be changed. ≥ Data that has been recorded on another device may not be copied. ≥ When 2 or more discs are necessary for copying, the last scene copied to a disc is automatically divided to fit the space on the disc. ≥ Copying may complete with more or less than the number of discs displayed when dividing of scenes was performed automatically etc. ≥ For discs being copied using [Standard] ([XP])/[Standard] ([SP]), you cannot select Highlight Playback and [HIGHLIGHT] or [FACE] of Highlight & Time Frame Index. ≥ The remaining copy time displayed while copying is the approximate time for a single disc. Playing back the copied disc ≥Only discs that have been copied by connecting this unit to the DVD burner or created with HD Writer AE 4.0 can be played back. 11 5VQT3W31 Managing the copied disc ≥Connect this unit to the DVD burner and then touch [PLAY DISC]. ( l111 ) ∫ Formatting discs This is for initializing DVD-RAM, DVD-RW and +RW discs. Please be aware that if a disc is formatted, then all the data recorded on the disc will be erased. Back up important data on a PC etc. ≥When formatting is complete, touch [EXIT] to exit the message screen. ≥Connect this unit and the DVD burner to format discs. You may no longer be able to use the discs if you format them on another device such as a PC etc. ∫ Auto protect You can protect (write protect) a DVD-RAM disc when copying motion pictures in high definition picture quality or a DVD-RW disc wh en copying motion pictures in high definition picture quality or still pictures to the disc. 1Select the menu. ≥ If a disc that you copied to is inserted in another device without protecting it, a message may be displayed prompting you to format the disc. We recommend setting [AUTO PROTECT] to [ON] in order to prevent accidental deletion. 2Copy to the disc. ( l112)≥After copying, the disc is write protected. A USB cable (supplied) ≥ Insert the plugs as far as they will go. 1Connect the unit to the Blu-ray disc recorder or high-definition (AVCHD) compatible DVD recorder. ≥The USB function selection screen will appear on the screen of the unit. Dubbing in high-definition picture quality You can dub using a Panasonic Blu-ray disc recorder or high-definition (AVCHD) compatible DVD recorder. ≥Depending on the recorders or the media to be copied to, you may not be able to copy in high-definition (AVCHD) picture quality. For further details, see the operating instructions of your recorder. ≥ Note that the equipment described may not be available in certain countries and regions. About dubbing of scenes recorded in 1080/60p The scenes recorded in 1080/60p recording mode can only be dubbed to a Blu-ray disc using the AVCHD Progressive compatible devices. The scenes recorded in 1080/60p recording mode are not displayed when connected to the product that is not compatible with AVCHD Progressive. (Operation is not guaranteed with any other USB cables.) ≥ When this unit is connected to a Panasonic Blu-ray disc recorder or a DVD recorder using a USB cable while the unit is turned on, power is also supplied from the connected equipment to this unit. ≥ For details on dubbing and playback methods, read the operating instructions of the Blu-ray disc recorder or DVD recorder. ≥ When you connect the unit to a Blu-ray disc recorder, a dubbing operations screen may appear on the television connected to the Blu-ray disc recorder. In this case as well, perform the operations of Steps 1 to 4. ≥ You cannot change the mode of the unit or turn off the unit while it is connected to a Blu-ray disc recorder or DVD recorder. Disconnect the USB cable before performing either of these operations. ≥ If the battery runs down during dubbing, a message will appear. Operate the Blu-ray disc recorder to cancel the dubbing. About the screen indication of the unit ≥When the unit is accessing the SD card, card access icon ( ) appears on the unit screen or the access lamp is on. ≥ When the unit is accessing the built-in memory, built-in memory access icon ( ) appears on the unit screen or the access lamp is on. ≥ Be careful not to disconnect the USB cable, AC adaptor or battery while the unit is accessing the media, as this may result in the loss of recorded content.
