     Chapter 2    SD Print Settings
    Image Repeat
    When you print an image individually, multiple images of an original can be printed onto a sheet.
    zThis function is only available when an image is selected in the Thumbnail/Individual tab.
    1Select “More Settings”.
    zTo display this screen, select the Thumbnail/
    Individual tab in step 4 of Printing from SD 
    Memory Card (see page 12).
    2Select “1 to N”.
    3Select the desired number for image 
    repeat, and then select “OK”.
    4Select “Close”.
    zFor the following procedure, refer to steps 7 
    to 9 of Printing from SD Memory Card

    Preset Jobs
    Preset Job function simplifies setting procedures and improves operating efficiency.
    Storing a Job in Memory
    You can register the frequently used print settings to job buttons.
    zUp to 10 preset jobs can be registered.
    zOnce registered, the print job settings are kept in the job memory until they are overwritten by new settings.
    zRefer to Recalling a Preset Job Stored in Memory (see page 44).
    1Press the Print key if the machine is 
    set to other function mode.
    2Select “SD Print”.
    3Insert the SD Memory Card or connect 
    the USB Flash Memory.
    zFor details on how to insert the SD Memory 
    Card, refer to step 2 of Printing from SD 
    Memory Card (see page 11).
    zFor details on how to connect the USB Flash 
    Memory, refer to step 3 of Printing from 
    USB Flash Memory (see page 14).
    4Select the print features (see pages 26 
    to 41).
    5Enter the desired number of prints.
    6Select “Preset Jobs”.
    7Select “Save”, and then select a job 
    button.
    zJob name is displayed on the button in 
    which a job has been already registered.

    8Enter a job name, and then select 
    “OK”.
    zUp to 20 characters can be entered.
    zFor instructions on how to enter characters, 
    refer to Using the Keyboard in the 
    Operating Instructions (For Function 
    Parameters) of provided CD-ROM.
    zAfter completing the editing of the job name, press 
    the Reset key to return to the initial screen of the 
    currently active mode.

    Recalling a Preset Job Stored in Memory
    You can recall the registered print settings by selecting preset job buttons.
    zRefer to Storing a Job in Memory (see page 42).
    1Press the Print key if the machine is 
    set to other function mode.
    2Select “SD Print”.
    3Insert the SD Memory Card or connect 
    the USB Flash Memory.
    zFor details on how to insert the SD Memory 
    Card, refer to step 2 of Printing from SD 
    Memory Card (see page 11).
    zFor details on how to connect the USB Flash 
    Memory, refer to step 3 of Printing from 
    USB Flash Memory (see page 14).
    4Select the desired data.
    5Select “Preset Jobs”.
    6Select the desired preset job.
    zJob buttons without names, indicate that 
    jobs have not been registered.
    zIf the Confirmation screen is displayed, 
    select “Close”.
    7To confirm the job settings, select 
    “Confirm Settings”, and then select 
    “Close”.
    zTo change the setting, refer to Confirming/
    Editing the Selected Print Features (see 
    page 45).
    8Press the Start key.
    zAfter finishing printing, press the Reset key to 
    return to the initial screen of the currently active 
    mode.

    Confirming/Editing the Selected Print 
    Features
    1After setting print features, select 
    “Confirm Settings”.
    zFor details on how to set print features, see 
    pages 26 to 41.
    2Confirm the settings, and then select 
    “Close”.
    zTo cancel all the settings, select “Reset All”.
    zTo register the settings to Preset Job 
    buttons, select “Preset Jobs”. For details, 
    refer to steps 7 to 8 of Storing a Job in 
    Memory (see page 42).
    zTo edit the settings, select the button of the 
    setting that you want to edit. For details on 
    each setting screen, refer to the 
    corresponding section (see pages 26 to 41).
    Ex:Changing the Sort mode to the Non Sort 
    mode when optional Finisher is installed
    Select “Sort”.
    Select “Non Sort”, and then select “OK”.

    Printing Operation Failure
    If the printing operation fails, check the following items.
    Documents Not Printing Correctly

    Cannot printCheck that papers are loaded properly in

    Check that an error message is not 
    displayed on the device.

    Check the settings again, or load the appropriate

    Printing stops in the middle of run.Check that papers are loaded properly in the paper 
    tray of the device.
    Document is not printed from Sheet Bypass.Check the paper size set to the Sheet Bypass tray. 
    The following paper sizes can be set to the Sheet 
    Bypass Tray:
    Ledger, Legal, Letter, and Invoice.

    From the error messages displayed on the Touch Panel Display, it is possible to know the causes of 
    the problem, and the solutions.
    Checking Error Messages
    1Press the Print key if the machine is 
    set to other function mode.
    2Select “Job Control”.
    3Select “Output Queue”.
    4Select “Print History”.
    5Confirm the messages displayed on 
    the Status column, and then select 
    “Close”.
