11 Chapter 1 Print Operations Printing from SD Memor y Card You can print images directly from the SD Memory Card. zBe sure to use only a genuine SD Memory Card* (up to 32GB). zImage data saved on the SD Memory Card cannot be printed if the Function Parameter “70 SD/USB Memory Function” (General Settings > Key Operator Mode) is set to “No”. For more details on this setting, refer to General Settings in the Operating Instructions (For Function Parameters) of provided CD-ROM. * SD Memory Card and SDHC Memory Card are referred to as SD Memory Card in this manual. zAny commercial grade genuine SD / SDHC Memory Card can be used. zThe optional Printer Controller Module is required for printing text/graphic files in the PDF format. zSome TIFF and PDF files cannot be printed directly from the SD Memory Card depending on the type of format. zWhen the printing result differs from the actual photograph image, set the Function Parameter “30 SD Print Settings (03 Auto Contrast)” (Printer Settings > General User Mode) to “On” (the initial setting of this function is “On”). The machine will automatically adjust the print quality. However, the level of improvement will vary with each photograph. For details, refer to the Operating Instructions (For Function Parameters) of provided CD- ROM. 1Press the Print key if the machine is set to other function mode. 2Insert the SD Memory Card. Push the Slot Cover to open it. Insert the SD Memory Card as illustrated. (Label side up) The data and the folder name on the SD Memory Card are displayed. 3Select “SD Print”. 12 Chapter 1 Print Operations 4Select “Thumbnail/Individual” or “Thumbnail/Index Print”. zTo print thumbnail indexes (Index Print), select the desired data from the Thumbnail/ Index Print tab. zTo print images individually (Individual Print), select the desired data from the Thumbnail/Individual tab. 5Select the desired data. zYou can select all files at a time with the “Select All” button. zImages are printed in the selected order. zSelect or to scroll pages. zIf the desired data and the name of the folder are not displayed, press the button until the desired data and folder appears. ‰When thumbnails are not displayed Ex:JPEG files except from digital camera are displayed as follows. Ex:When photo images are not included, a file list is displayed. zTo select data from the File List tab, refer to step 5 of Printing from USB Flash Memory (see page 14). zThe default directory can be set to display either “DCIM” (a folder for digital camera images) or “Scan Img” by changing the setting of the Function Parameter “30 SD Print Settings (01 SD/USB Memory Def. Dir.)” (Printer Settings > General User Mode). For more details on this setting, refer to Printer Settings in the Operating Instructions (For Function Parameters) of provided CD-ROM. zThe default display type can be set to “Index”, “Indivi.”, or “FileList” by changing the setting of the Function Parameter “30 SD Print Settings (02 SD/USB Mem. Disp. Ty p e )” (Printer Settings > General User Mode). For more details on this setting, refer to Printer Settings in the Operating Instructions (For Function Parameters) of provided CD-ROM. zThe frame size for the Individual Print can be changed. For details, refer to Selecting the Frame Size for Individual Print (see page 36). zThe Layout for the Index Print can be changed. For details, refer to Selecting the Layout for Index Print (see page 38).
13 Chapter 1 Print Operations 6Select the required settings if necessary. •Confirm Settings (see page 45) •More Settings (see pages 26 to 41) •Preset Jobs (see page 42) •Paper/Output Tray: Selects the Paper Tray and Output Tray. 7Select “Start”. 8Push the SD Memory Card, and then remove it. zDo not remove the SD Memory Card while the Access Indicator is flashing. 9Close the Slot Cover. zWhen re-inserting the SD Memory Card into the slot, pull it out completely once, and then insert the card again. zWhen canceling the operation, press the Reset key on the Control Panel.
14 Chapter 1 Print Operations Printing from USB Flash Memor y You can print images directly from the USB Flash Memory. zBe sure to use only a USB Flash Memory that supports Mass Storage Class (FAT16 or FAT32 format). zUSB Flash Memory with the security function cannot be used. zWe cannot guarantee compatibility with all USB Flash Memories. For details, contact the authorized Panasonic dealer. zThe image data saved on the USB Flash Memory cannot be printed if the Function Parameter “70 SD/USB Memory Function” (General Settings > Key Operator Mode) is set to “No”. For more details on this setting, refer to General Settings in the Operating Instructions (For Function Parameters) of provided CD-ROM. 1Press the Print key if the machine is set to other function mode. 2Select “SD Print”. 3Connect the USB Flash Memory. 4Select “File List”. 5Press the button to display the USB Flash Memory folder, and then select the desired data. zOnly one file can be selected at a time in the File List tab. zTo select images from the Thumbnail/ Individual or Thumbnail/Index Print tab, refer to step 5 of Printing from SD Memory Card ( see page 12). zSelect or to scroll pages.

16 Chapter 1 Print Operations Printing from the Inter nal Hard Disk Drive You can print images saved in the internal Hard Disk Drive. zThe Hard Disk Drive is enabled with 12 image boxes. 1Press the Print key if the machine is set to other function mode. 2Select “SD Print”. 3Select “File List”, and then select an Image Box in the Hard Drive. zWhen the SD Memory Card or USB Flash Memory has been inserted, press the button to display the Hard Drive folder. z Only one Image Box can be selected at a time. 4Select the desired data. zOnly one file can be selected at a time from the Image Box. 5Enter the desired number of prints. 6Select “Start”. zWhen canceling the operation, press the Reset key on the Control Panel.
17 Chapter 1 Print Operations Mailbox Printing Printing from Mailbox You can print data saved in the machine’s Mailbox using the Control Panel. User ID (and password for Secure Mailbox) is required to print documents saved in Mailbox. Mailbox print is suitable for printing confidential documents. zFor instructions on how to save printing data to Mailbox, refer to Print Operation (for Printer) in the Document Management System (Printer Driver) of provided CD-ROM. 1Press the Print key if the machine is set to other function mode. 2Select “Mailbox”. 3Enter the mailbox User ID (up to 8 digits), and then select “OK”. zWhen print data is saved in only one of the mailboxes (Check then Print, Mailbox, or Secure Mailbox), the mailbox is opened. Enter the desired number of copies, and then select “OK”. zWhen the Function Parameter “15 Check then Print Qty” (Printer Settings > Key Operator Mode) is set to “Ye s”, the screen confirming the number of copies is displayed. For more details, refer to Printer Settings in the Operating Instructions (For Function Parameters) of provided CD-ROM. ‰When Mailbox is selected zAll files can be selected at a time with the “Select All” button. zWhen the Function Parameter “16 Mailbox Print Qty” (Printer Settings > Key Operator Mode) is set to “Ye s”, the screen confirming the number of copies is displayed. Enter the desired number, and then select “OK”. For more details, refer to Printer Settings in the Operating Instructions (For Function Parameters) of provided CD-ROM. Check then PrintPrints one proof set before printing multiple sets. The document data will be deleted after printing. MailboxPrints data in the mailbox that is specified by User ID. The document data will remain in the mailbox until it is deleted. Secure MailboxPrints data in the mailbox that is specified by User ID. Password is also required to print confidential documents saved in Secure Mailbox. The document data will remain in the mailbox until it is deleted.
19 Chapter 1 Print Operations ‰When Secure Mailbox is selected zOnly one file can be selected at a time. After selecting the data in Secure Mailbox, enter the password (8 to 16 digits), and then select “OK”. zWhen saving print data in the Secure Mailbox of the machine, set the password in more than 8 digits (the machine does not accept the data with the password in less than 8 digits). For more details, refer to the Document Management System (Printer Driver) of provided CD-ROM. zWhen the Function Parameter “17 Secure MB Print Qty” (Printer Settings > Key Operator Mode) is set to “Ye s”, the screen confirming the number of copies is displayed. Enter the desired number, and select “OK”. For more details, refer to Printer Settings in the Operating Instructions (For Function Parameters) of provided CD-ROM. 6When “Mailbox” or “Secure Mailbox” has been selected in step 4, select whether to delete the data after printing. zWhen canceling the operation, press the Reset key on the Control Panel.
20 Chapter 1 Print Operations Deleting Mailbox Data 1Press the Print key if the machine is set to other function mode. 2Select “Mailbox”. 3Enter the mailbox User ID (up to 8 digits), and then select “OK”. zWhen print data is saved in only one of the mailboxes (Check then Print, Mailbox, or Secure Mailbox), the mailbox is opened. In this case, go to step 5. 4Select the desired mailbox. 5Select the desired data, and then select “Delete”. ‰When Check then Print is selected zOnly one file can be selected at a time. ‰When Mailbox is selected zAll files can be selected at a time with the “Select All” button. ‰When Secure Mailbox is selected zOnly one file can be selected at a time.
