- 153 - Playback/Editing Having Fun with Recorded Pictures (Retouch) You can adjust the color tone of the pictures taken, or add your preferred effects. •The processed pictures are newly generated, so be sure that you have enough space in the built-in memory or on the card. Note also that processing will not be possible if the Write-Protect switch of the card is in the [LOCK] position. •Effects may be difficult to see depending on the picture. •Pictures taken with other cameras may not be processed. The brightness and color of the pictures taken can be balanced. ¢ These pictures are examples to show the effect. 1Press 2/ 1 to select a picture, and then press 3 . •If you have filtered images for playback by using [Slide Show] (P147) or [Filtering Play] (P149) , the selection screen appears. You can proceed to step 2 by selecting [Retouch] with 3 /4 , and then pressing [MENU/SET]. •You can also proceed to step 2 by selecting [Retouch] from the [Playback] menu. 2Press 3/ 4 to select [Auto Retouch], and then press [MENU/SET]. 3Press 3/4 to select [ON], and then press [MENU/SET]. •If you select [OFF], an image with no effect is displayed. You can proceed to step 2 by selecting [Retouch] with 3 /4 , and then pressing [MENU/SET]. •You can also proceed to step 2 by selecting [Retouch] from the [Playback] menu. 2Press 3/ 4 to select [Creative Retouch], and then press [MENU/SET]. 3Press 3/4 to select image effects and then press [MENU/SET]. •You can select the item from the following options that are also available in the Creative Control mode. [Expressive]/[Retro]/[High Key]/[Low Key]/[Sepia]/[Dynamic Monochrome]/[Impressive Art]/ [High Dynamic]/[Cross Process]/[Toy Effect]/[Miniature Effect]/[Soft Focus]/[Star Filter]/[One Point Color] •A brief description of selected image effect appears when you press [DISP.]. •To set the color you want to keep by using [One Point Color], move the frame at the center of the screen to the desired color with 3/4/ 2 /1 , and then press [MENU/SET]. •Read P76–79 for details on the respective effects. •If you select [OFF], an image with no effect is displayed. To proceed the retouch operation, select another image effect. If you are not going to add any effect, exit the menu. •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected. •The image effect may appear weak compared to the effect given by the Creative Control Mode.•The following pictures cannot be processed:–Motion pictures –Pictures taken in Panorama Shot Mode–Pictures taken with [3D Photo Mode] in Scene Mode•Picture Groups cannot be processed on a group level. To proceed with the [Color Reproduction] operation, select another image effect. If you are not going to add any effect, exit the menu. •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected. •The effect may be weaker than that of [Color Reproduction] in the [Rec] menu.•The following pictures cannot be processed: –Motion pictures–Pictures taken in Panorama Shot Mode–Pictures taken with [3D Photo Mode] in Scene Mode •Picture Groups cannot be processed on a group level. - 156 - Playback/Editing Using the [Playback] Menu You can perform actions like cropping recorded pictures, as well as set up the protection of recorded images, etc. • With [Text Stamp], [Retouch], [Time Lapse Video], [Resize] or [Cropping] a new edited picture is created. A new picture cannot be created if there is no free space on the built-in memory or the card so we recommend checking that there is free space and then editing the picture. The location information (longitude/latitude) acquired by the smartphone/tablet can be sent to the camera and written in images. To record location name information, use [Place-Name Edit] in the playback menu. (P159) • Pictures in the built-in memory cannot store location information. If you want to record location information on them, copy the pictures in the built-in memory to a memory card, then perform [Location Logging]. Preparation: Sending location information to the camera from the smartphone/tablet. (P178) 1Select [Location Logging] on the [Playback] menu. (P48) 2Press 3/4 to select [Add Location Data] and then press [MENU/SET]. 3Press 3/4 to select the period you intend to record location information on pictures, then press [MENU/SET]. •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected. Exit the menu after it is executed. •The location information is recorded onto images.•Images with location information are indicated with [ ]. Select the period with [ ±] to restart the recording process from the picture you left off. ∫ To delete the received location information1Select [Location Logging] on the [Playback] menu. (P48)2Press 3/4 to select [Delete Location Data] and then press [MENU/SET]. 3Press 3/4 to select the period you want to delete, then press [MENU/SET]. •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected. Exit the menu after it is executed. •When there is insufficient free space on the card, location information might not be able to be written.•When the card is locked, location information cannot be written onto the images or received location information cannot be deleted. •Location information cannot be written in the following cases.–Motion pictures recorded with [Rec Format] set to [AVCHD]–Pictures taken after [Send location data] (P178) –Pictures taken with location information acquired with GPS–Pictures taken with other cameras

(P94) •Exit the menu after it is set. •To delete the title, erase all the text in the text input screen.•You can print out texts (comments) using the “PHOTOfunSTUDIO” bundled software on the CD-ROM (supplied). •You can set up to 100 pictures at one time in [MULTI].•You cannot use [Title Edit] for the following types of pictures: –Motion pictures–Pictures taken with [3D Photo Mode] in Scene Mode–Pictures recorded with other equipment [Title Edit] 3Select the picture, and then press [MENU/SET] to set. •[’] is displayed for pictures with titles already registered. [MULTI] setting Press [DISP.] to set (repeat), and then press [MENU/SET] to set. • The setting is canceled when [DISP.] is pressed again. [SINGLE] [MULTI] Press 2/1 to select the picture. (P48) 2Press 2/1 to select the picture, and then press [MENU/SET]. 3Press 3/4 to select the settings, and then press [MENU/SET]. •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected. Exit the menu after it is executed. •Images with place name information are indicated with [ ]. [Place-Name Edit] ItemSettings [Candidate] Display other candidates by searching within the database in this unit using the location information. 1Press 3/4 to select the item to change, and then press [MENU/SET]. 2Select the candidate from the search result, and then press [MENU/SET]. • Only images with the [ ] icon can be set.•The place name and landmark will be deleted, if they are lower position than the item to change. (For example, [City/Town/Village] or [Landmark] will be deleted when changing [County/Township].) •Place name information other than the landmark will be deleted if the landmark name registered with [My Landmark] (P127) is selected. [Direct] Stored location or landmark name can be changed with the text entry function. •For details on how to enter character, refer to “Entering Text” on P94 . [Repeat] Copy the contents of the last performed edit into other pictures.
