DVD Projector * 41 English USER CONTROLS How to Operate DVD Menu 1. To open the DVD OSD menu, press [Projector Menu] on the remote control, go to “System-->DVD Setup”. 2. When DVD OSD is displayed, use keys to select any item in the main menu. While making a selection on a particular page, press [Enter] or key to enter sub menu. 3. Use keys to select the desired item and adjust the settings by key. 4. Select the next item to be adjusted in the sub menu and adjust as described above. 5. Choose the “Exit Setup” to confirm, and the screen will return to the main menu. 6. To exit, press [Setup]/[Enter]. Main menuSub-menuItem

DVD Projector * 43 English USER CONTROLS System Setup TV System Select system as you watching TV. Screen Saver Choose “On” to start the screen protection function, while stopping, opening, no discs or about 60 seconds of picture inactive state on the tray. Choose “Off” to cancel the screen saver function. TV Type Use this function to choose your desired TV type. 1. 16:9 (widescreen): available option for connection with widescreen TV. 2. 4:3LB: (mailbox): suitable for use with standard size TV. In widescreen playback format top and bottom of the screen will display a black band. 3. 4:3PS (full screen scan): suitable for use with stan- dard size TV. In widescreen playback format remove left and right edges then adjust picture to fit full screen. Note: ▀■ Quality of playback is related to the aspect ratio of the disc. Some discs may not be able to be played on the screen size you choose. ▀■ For discs that are only able to accommodate 4:3 format it doesn’t matter what screen ratio you select: playback ratio will always be 4:3. ▀■ Selection of screen ratio should match actual screen ratio of TV being used.

NoteNote Password The default setting is “Password is locked”, can’t choose “Rating” or revise the password. If need to select “Rating” to press the nu- merical key and importing the initial password of the one machine: 0000, then press the enter button to confirm. When you need to change the password, input the old password first, and then input the new password. (The effective password is 4 bits) Rating The “Rating” or “Parental lock” option makes it possible to restrict viewing of certain sequences or entire films to specified age groups. Default Choose “Restore” then “Enter” pressed, the display parameters on all menu will return to their factory default settings. Exit Setup Exit this menu.

46 * DVD Projector English USER CONTROLS Digital Setup SPDIF Out Choose the appropriate Digital Audio settings for your equip- ment as it only affect during the playback of DVD discs of the DVD player. ▀■ SPDIF/Off: Turn off the sound. ▀■ SPDIF/RAW: Select this function, when the player is con- nected to Dolby Digital Decoder. ▀■ SPDIF/PCM: Select this function, when the player is not connected to Dolby Digital Decoder. Key Adjust the key of sound. Exit Setup Exit this menu.

Contrast Contrast controls the degree of difference between the light- est and darkest parts of the picture. Adjusting the contrast changes the amount of black and white with an image. ▀■ Press to decrease the contrast. ▀■ Press to increase the contrast. Saturation Adjust the color balance of red and green. ▀■ Press to increase the amount of green in an image. ▀■ Press to increase the amount of red in an image. Output Level There are three factory presets optimized for various types of pictures: Normal, Enhanced, Dynamic and User. Exit Setup Exit this menu.

You may decide the Downmix of the channels, whether they are “LT/RT”, “Stereo” or “Off”. OP Mode ▀■ Line out: Carries on the linear compression to the input signal. The volume slightly suits the evening to use. D.R.C Dynamic rage decides the pitch of volume. You may set them as “Full”, 6/8, 4/8, 2/8 or “Off”. To compress the high volume Dolby Digital movie, prevent the sudden high volume sound appeared. Dual Mono Sets the way of audio output for Left and right audio. You may set them as the “Stereo”, “Mono L”, “Mono R” or “Mix Mono”. Exit Setup Exit this menu.
DVD Projector * 49 English MAINTENANCE Troubleshooting If you experience a problem with your projector, please refer to the following information. If a problem persists, please contact your local reseller or service center. Image Problems No image appears on screen: Ensure that all the cables and power cord are correctly and securely connected as described in the “Installation” section. Ensure that connector pins are not bent or broken. Check the [Power] or [Stand By] button is pressed. Make sure that the projection lamp has been securely installed. Please refer to the “Replacing the lamp” section. Ensure that you have removed the lens cap and that the projector is powered on. Partial, scrolling, or incorrectly displayed images: Press [Re-Sync] on the control panel. If using a PC: For Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP: 1. From the “My Computer” icon, open the “Control Panel” folder, and double click the “Display” icon. 2. Select the “Settings” tab. 3. Verify that your display resolution setting is lower than or equal to 1280 x 1024. 4. Click on the “Advanced Properties” button. If the projector is still not projecting the whole image, you will also need to change the monitor display you are using. Refer to the following steps. 5. Verify the resolution setting is lower than or equal to 1280 x 1024. The Resync function can not be used when the DVD player is operational. NoteNote

Click on “Show all devices.” Next, select “Standard monitor types” under the SP box; choose the resolution mode you need under the “Models” box. 8. Verify that the resolution setting of the monitor display is lower than or equal to 1280 x 1024. If using a Notebook PC: 1. First, follow the steps above to adjust resolution of the com- puter. 2. Press the toggle output settings. example: [Fn]+[F4] If you experience difficulty changing resolutions or your monitor freezes, restart all the equipment including the projector. The screen of the Notebook or PowerBook computer is not displaying your presentation: If using a Notebook PC: Some Notebook PCs may deactivate their own screens when a second display device is in use. Each has a different way of reactivating. Refer to your computer’s documentation for detailed information. Image is unstable or flickering: Use “Tracking” to correct it. See page 34 for more information. Change the monitor color setting on your computer. Image has a vertical flickering bar: Use “Frequency” to make an adjustment. See page 34 for more information. Check and reconfigure the display mode of your graphics card to ensure compatibility.
