HOW THE LOOPSET WORKS
The LPS-3 Loopset uses inductive technology to 
transmit sound to a hearing aid equipped with a T-coil. 
The sound from the phone is amplified more efficiently 
and background noise is eliminated.
The loopset is easy to use. You wear the loopset around 
your neck, connect it to your phone, and speak directly

 • INSTALL THE BATTERY
Before you can use your phone, you must install and charge the battery.
Remove the back cover
1Press the tab at the bottom of the 
phone’s back cover.
2Slide the cover down and lift it off.
Insert the battery
1Place the top of the battery on the 
phone with the gold contacts toward 
the top of the phone.
2Press down on the bottom of the 
battery until it is securely in place.
Replace the back cover

 • CHARGE THE BATTERY
Charge the new battery for three hours 
before using the phone. Use the phone until 
the battery is fully discharged. You should 
do this for a total of three charging cycles. 
1With your phone turned off, connect 
the lead from the charger to the bottom of the phone.
2Connect the charger to an AC wall outlet.

 • ABOUT THE ANTENNA
Your phone has a built-in antenna. 
As with any other radio transmitting 
device, do not touch the antenna 
unnecessarily when the phone is 
switched on. Contact with the 
antenna affects call quality and may 
cause the phone to operate at a higher power level than otherwise 
needed. Not touching the antenna area during a call optimizes the 
antenna performance and the talk time of your phone.

Start screen
When you turn on your phone, a Nokia welcome 
and the Start screen appears. The Start screen is 
the “home base” for your phone.
