Press the a button to exit live view 
mode.
ALive View Zoom Preview
Press the  X button to magnify the view in the monitor up to a 
maximum of about 23×.
 A navigation window will appear in a gray 
frame at the bottom right corner of the display. Use the multi selector 
to scroll to areas of the frame not visible in the monitor, or press  W to 
zoom out.

Focus
To focus using autofocus, rotate the 
focus-mode selector to AF and follow the 
steps below to choose autofocus and 
AF-area modes.

The following AF-area modes can be selected during live view 
photography and movie live view:

detects and focuses on portrait subjects; the selected subject is 
indicated by a double yellow border (if multiple faces, up to a 
maximum of 35, are detected, the camera will focus on the

To choose an AF-area mode, press the AF-mode button and 
rotate the sub-command dial until the desired mode is displayed 
in the monitor.
Manual Focus
To focus in manual focus mode (0100), 
rotate the lens focus ring until the

Selecting  Split-screen display zoom  in 
the live view photography  b button 
menu splits the display into two boxes 
showing separate areas of the frame 
side-by-side at a high zoom ratio.

positions of the magnified areas are 
shown in the navigation window.
Use the  X and  W buttons to zoom in 
and out, or use the  L(Z /Q ) button to
