When calculating exposure, center-weighted metering assigns
the greatest weight to a circle in the center of the frame.
     The
diameter ( φ) of this circle can be set to 8, 12, 15, or 20 mm or to
the average of the entire frame.
Note that unless Average is selected, the diameter is fixed at 12 mm when a non-CPU
lens is used, regardless of the setting selected for Non-CPU lens data in the setup
    menu (
0172). When Average is selected, the average of the entire frame will be
used for both CPU and non-CPU lenses.
Use this option to fine-tune the exposure value selected by the
    camera.
Exposure can be fine-tuned separately for each
metering method by from +1 to –1 EV in steps of 1/6EV.
If On is selected, exposure will lock when the shutter-release
    button is pressed halfway.

The capacity of AA batteries drops sharply at temperatures below 20 °C (68 °F) and varies
with make and storage conditions; in some ca ses, batteries may cease to function before
    their expiry date.
Some AA batteries can not be us ed; due to their performance
characteristics and limited capacity, alkaline ba tteries have less capacity than some other
types and should only be used if no alternative is available and then only at warmer
    temperatures.
