The GP-1/GP-1A GPS Unit
The GP-1/GP-1A GPS unit (available separately) can be connected to the camera’s 
accessory terminal ( 0298) using the cable supplied with the GP-1/GP-1A, allowing 
information on the camera’s current position to be recorded when photographs are 
taken.
 Turn the camera off before connecting the GP-1/GP-1A; for more information, 
see the GP-1/GP-1A manual.

To play photographs back, press the K button. 
The most recent photograph will be displayed in 
the monitor.
Full-Frame Playback
ARotate Tall
To display “tall” (portrait-orientation) photographs in 
tall orientation, select  On for the  Rotate tall  option in

Photo Information
Photo information is superimposed on images displayed in full-frame playback. 
Press 1 or  3 to cycle through photo information as shown below. Note that “image 
only”, shooting data, RGB histograms, highlights, and overview data are only 
displayed if corresponding option is selected for  Playback display options (0 209).
 
GPS data are only displayed if a GPS de vice was used when the photo was taken.

APlayback Zoom
To zoom in on the photograph when the histogram is 
displayed, press  X (T ).
 Use the  X (T ) and W (S ) 
buttons to zoom in and out and scroll the image with the 
multi selector.
 The histogram will be updated to show only 
the data for the portion of the image visible in the monitor.
