❶ Mounting a lens (sold separately)
This	projector	can 	be 	used 	with 	3 	kinds 	of 	optional 	lenses 	(sold 	separ ately).	The 	char t 	belo w 	sho ws 	compatib le 	lenses 	
according	to	the 	projector 	model.	The 	descr iptions 	here 	are 	f or 	the 	NP35ZL 	(standard 	z oom) 	lens .	Mount 	other 	lenses 	
in	the	same	manner.	See 	 page 	164	for	lens	options.

Using	the	lock	mechanism
Release:	Locking 	 screw 	 is 	 tightened
The	lens	can	be	attached	or	detached	(factory	default	setting).
Lock:	Locking 	 screw 	 is 	 untightened
The	lens	cannot 	be 	attached 	or 	detached.	Pressing 	the 	loc k 	release 	b ut-
ton	all	the 	w ay 	in 	disab les 	the 	loc k 	mechanism 	and 	allo ws 	the 	lens 	to 	be 	
attached	or	detached.
Mounting the lens
Preparation:	
Prepare	a	flathead	screwdriver.
*	 The	illustration	omits	the	projector	cabinet.

4.	 With	the	“T OP”	orientation 	indicator 	facing 	upwar ds,	inser t	
the lens into the lens mount.
	 Align	the	flange 	on 	the 	upper 	por tion 	of 	the 	lens 	with 	the 	catch 	
on	the	left	side	of	the	lens	mount.
NOTE:
•	 Insert	the	lens 	carefully 	to 	avoid 	it 	from 	damage 	by 	knocking 	against	
the lens mount.
5. Turn the lens clockwise until it clicks into place.
	 The	3	flanges 	ha ve 	no w 	engaged 	with 	the 	3 	catches 	and 	the 	
lens	unit	has	been	mounted.

Removing the lens
Preparation:	
Return	the	lens	position	to	the	home	position.	(→	page	19)
After	the	lens	shift	has	moved,	refer	to	the	warning	on	page	19	and	turn	off	the	power.
1. Remove the lens hood.
	 Refer	to	Step	1	under	“Mounting	 the 	 lens”.
•	 If	the	lens 	unit 	is 	loc ked 	please 	see 	page 	122	and	follow 	the 	
instructions	under	Using	the	Lock	Function	to	unlock	it.
2.	 Turn	the	lens 	counter clockwise 	to 	remo ve 	it 	fr om 	the 	catc h,	
and	slowly	pull	forward	to	remove.

A	computer	cab le, 	BNC 	cab le 	(5-core 	type), 	HDMI 	cab le, 	or 	a 	Displa yPort 	cab le 	can 	be 	used 	to 	connect 	to 	a 	computer .
