Page 55 7. REMOVING AND REPLACING ASSEMBLIES AND PARTS 7-1 Replacing the MonitorThe monitor is heav y. At least two people are required to remove the monito r. 1. Remove the 2off upper security screw (M5x12) and slacken the 2off lower security screw (M5x12), and remove the monitor rear access panel. 2. Remove the pozi head screw (M4x10) and remove the Earth wire and connectors from the monitor. 3. Remove 8off security screw (M5x16) and remove the monitor vac-form.

Page 56 4. Remove 4off pozi head screws (M6x25), with flat washer (1”x¼”), and remove the monitor by tilting the forward and lifting it out. Note: Take care not to knock the neck of the monitor tube when handling the monitor as it can be easily damged and the tube destroyed.

Page 57 7-2 Replacing the Fluorescent Tube or Starter 1. Remove 2off security screw (M5x12) and remove the top retaining bracket and header acrylic. 2. Replace the fluorescent tube or starter. 3. Refit the header acrylic and top retaining bracket.

Page 58 7-3 Replacing the Pedal Switch 1. Remove 4off security screw (M5x12) and remove the switch cover plate. 2. Remove 2off pozi head screw (M3x16) and remove the switch. When replacing the switch, ensure that the wires are fitted to the correct terminals. 3. Slacken the 2off whizztite nuts (M4) and adjust the microswitch bracket so that the switch plunger operates the switch correctly without bending the switch lever against the switch body. 4. Page 59 7-4 Greasing the Pedal Assy Plunger 1. Remove 4off security screw (M5x12) and remove the switch cover plate. 2. Remove 2off whizztite nuts (M4) and remove the switch. 3. Remove 4off whizztite nuts (M4) and remove the plaunger assembly. Note: The plunger is spring loaded. Keep the plunger pressed in when removing the assy and release the plunger slowly. 4. Remove any old grease and dirt from the plunger and pedal plate. 5. Grease both the plate and spherical portion of the plunger. 6. Reassemble...

Page 60 7-5 Replacing the Pedal Plunger 1. Remove the plunger assembl y. (See 7-4 page 59 ) 2. Pull the plunger out of the holder. Replace with the new plunger. (The new plunger should have grease applied all over prior to fitting). 3. Wipe off any old grease and dirt from the pedal plate and regrease. 4. Reassemble in reverse order.
