In operating level C the automatic mobile unit recognition system (AWK) allocates programme places from 1 - 15 to mobile units with the correct coding. Mobile unit coding The automatic mobile unit recognition feature assigns a programme place to a mobile unit. The mobile units must be coded with a magnetic strip (via a Bit combination). In operating level C, the only programme available for a coded mobile unit is the one assigned to the corresponding programme place.
