    							For the automatic ice/water
    dispenser to operate, it must be
    connected to the household power
    and water supply.
    Use sturdy glass when dispensing
    water or ice - risk of injury from
    broken glass!
    Keep fingers clear of the dispenser
    opening. Risk of injury!
    Turning on the Ice/Water
    Dispenser
    Once the freezer has cooled to a
    freezing temperature, the ice cube tray
    filles with water. Cold air is blown
    directly over the tray.
    As soon as the cubes are frozen they
    fall into the ice cube container.
    When the ice cube container is full, the
    ice maker switches off automatically.
    The ice cube maker produces:
    –cold water
    – ice cubes
    – crushed ice.
    ^Be sure the ice cube container is
    under the ice maker and has been
    inserted as far as possible.
    Do not place any bottles or food for
    rapid cooling in the ice cube
    container. The ice maker could
    become blocked or damaged.
    ^
    Open the freezer door.
    ^
    Touch the ice button so it turns
    yellow.
    ^
    Close the freezer door.
    The ice/water dispenser is now ready
    for use.

    							^Turn on the Ice/Water dispenser with
    a finger touch to the control panel or
    by passing your hand under the
    dispenser to activate it via the light
    sensor.
    All of the touch controls for the
    Ice/Water Dispenser should now
    appear white.
    If this is not the case, the Safety Lock is
    activated i.e. lock will appear yellow.
    See Safety Lock.
    If lock is blinking, the drip tray
    needs to be emptied (see Cleaning
    and care)!Dispensing water
    ^Place a suitable cup on the drip tray.
    ^Press and hold the water button.
    As long as you hold in the water
    button, water will flow from the
    dispenser.
    The water from the dispenser is
    cooled to a palatable temperature. If
    you would like the water colder,
    place ice cubes in the glass before
    dispensing water.
    Dispensing (crushed) ice
    ^Place a suitable cup on the drip tray.
    ^
    Press and hold the cubes or
    crushed button.
    As long as you hold in the desired
    button, ice will fall from the dispenser.
    Release the button when the jar is
    almost full. Ice in the discharge may
    cause the cup to overflow or block
    the discharge.
    The ice cube maker can produce
    approx. 150 ice cubes within 24
    hours.

    							As soon as the drip tray indicator
    signals that the drip tray is full, the
    current operation will automatically
    stop.
    Empty out the drip tray using a
    sponge or dish towel.
    After the appliance is turned on for the
    very first time, it can take up to 24 hours
    for the first ice cubes to drop out of the
    ice cube maker and collect in the
    container.
    Whenever the appliance has been
    out of service for an extended
    period of time discard the ice/water
    production of the first 24 hours after
    switching on the ice/water
    dispenser!
    If the ice/water dispenser is not used
    for more than 2 minutes or the
    freezer door is opened, Standby
    mode is activated and the lighting
    for the ice/water dispenser will go
    out.
    After activating the ice/water dispenser
    it will take a few seconds for the water
    and/or ice to be dispensed.

    							Using the Ice/Water Dispenser
    for the first time
    Before using the Ice/Water
    Dispenser for the first time, you must
    flush then fill appliance water lines
    with water.
    ^Open the freezer door.
    ^Touch the Access button so it turns
    yellow.
    ^Touch the ice sensor button so it
    turns yellow.
    ^Close the appliance door.
    The water button on the control panel of
    the Ice/Water Dispenser flashes white.
    ^
    Place a large container under the
    dispenser.
    ^
    Touch the water button until it
    flashes yellow.^Touch and hold the water button
    again.
    This activates the flushing function,
    which uses approximately 1.6 gallons
    (6 liters) of water.
    You can interrupt the flushing process
    at any time to empty the container, by
    taking your finger off the water button.
    During this time, the water button will
    flash yellow again.
    As soon as the flushing process is
    complete, you will hear a beep, and the
    buttons on the control panel will turn
    white.
    You can now use the Ice/Water
    Dispenser.

    							Safety lock
    The Ice/Water dispenser can be locked
    to prevent unwanted use.
    ^Touch the lock button so it turns
    yellow.
    The Ice/Water dispenser buttons are
    now locked.
    To unlock the buttons:
    ^Touch the lock button so it turns
    white.
    Lighting
    In order to turn the Ice/Water dispenser
    lighting on or off:
    ^
    Touch the light button so it turns
    yellow (lighting on) or white (lighting
    off).
    If the Ice/Water dispenser is not
    used for longer than 2 minutes, it
    switches into standby mode, and the
    Ice/Water dispenser lighting turns
    off.
    Turning off the Ice/Water
    dispenser
    The water supply line must be shut
    off several hours before the
    appliance or ice maker is switched
    off.
    ^Open the freezer door.
    ^Touch the sensor button for the ice
    maker so that it turns white.

    							Settings
    The following settings on the Ice/Water
    dispenser can be adjusted:
    Entering the settings mode
    ^Touch and hold the lock button
    (appears white).
    ^At the same time tap the light
    button.
    ^Hold the lock button for approx. 4
    seconds until the lock and light
    buttons turn yellow.
    The lighting color of other buttons
    indicates their On/Off setting.
    ^
    Release both buttons.
    Anti-condensation heater
    A heater behind the cover of the
    Ice/Water dispenser ensures that frost
    and ice do not build-up. To save
    energy, you can turn the heater Off.
    This feature is turned off by factory
    default.
    To turn the anti-condensation heater off:
    ^Touch the water button until it turns
    white.

    							Anti-clumping
    The anti-clumping feature ensures that
    crushed ice or ice cubes do not freeze
    together. A noise will be heard
    periodically to indicate that the feature
    is working. If the sound disturbs you,
    the feature can be turned off.
    Note: Disabling the anti-clumping
    feature can result in the formation of
    ice clumps in the dispenser.
    This feature is turned on by factory
    default.
    To turn the anti-clumping feature off:
    ^Touch the cubes button until it turns
    white.
    Button sound
    If you prefer the buttons to be silent
    when touched, the button sound can be
    turned off.
    This feature is turned on by factory
    default.
    To turn button sound off:
    ^Touch the crushed button until it
    turns white.
    Exiting the settings mode
    ^Touch the light button or do not
    touch any buttons for one minute.

    							The freezer defrosts automatically.
    The moisture generated in the
    appliance collects in the evaporator. It
    is automatically defrosted and
    dissipated by the condenser
    periodically.
    This automatic defrosting system
    enables the freezer to remain
    permanently ice-free, while ensuring
    that the food stored in the freezer stays
    frozen.

    							Moving the shelves
    The shelves can be adjusted according
    to the height of the food.
    ^Using both hands, grasp the shelf
    from underneath and lift slightly so
    that the rear of the shelf is slightly
    above the mountings.
    ^Pull the shelf forward.
    ^Move the shelf to the desired height,
    then insert the (rear) hooks into
    place.
    ^Make sure the shelf is level.
    Door shelf
    For easier loading, unloading and
    cleaning the door shelf can be shifted
    or completely removed.
    ^Using both hands, grasp the door
    shelf by the frame, lift it upward a bit,
    then tip it slightly forward.
    ^Slide the tipped shelf up or down
    along the side-rails, and click it back
    into place at the desired location.
    ^Make sure that the basket is level.
    Removing the door shelf:
    ^Slide the shelf upwards all the way to
    the top of the side-rails until it can be
    removed.
    Replacing the door shelf:
    ^Insert the freezer basket at the top of
    the side-rails and slide it down into
    the desired position.

    							Freezer baskets
    For easier loading, unloading, and
    cleaning, the freezer baskets can be
    shifted or completely removed.
    ^Pull the basket forward until
    resistance is felt.
    On the hinged-side of the door is a
    safety lock, which must be turned to a
    horizontal position before the drawer
    can be removed.
    ^Using a suitable object, turn the
    safety lock to a horizontal positiona.
    ^On both sides of the basket, pull the
    latchesbupward and lift the basket
    out of the freezer.Replacing the freezer basket
    ^Fully extend the telescopic tracks.
    ^Lay the basket onto the tracks so that
    it connects in the front and back.
    ^Turn the safety lock back to the
    vertical position.
    ^Slide the freezer basket in.
