Clearing jams 104 Clearing jams Clearing jams Although there are several places a jam can occur, clearing the paper path is fairly easy. Paper jams can occur in three areas: the front of the MFP, inside the MFP, and at the rear of the MFP. Jams in the front of the MFP occur in the input options or the duplex tray. If the jammed envelope has entered the MFP and cannot be pulled out, remove the envelope feeder. aLift the envelope feeder out of the MFP, and then set it aside. bRemove the envelope from the MFP.
