3. Replace the cover, as shown. Note: v Only use AAA alkaline batteries. v Dispose of used batteries according to local government ordinance regulations. v Remove the batteries when not using the remote for prolonged periods. Operating range This remote control uses infrared transmission to control the projector. It is not necessary to point the remote directly at the projector. Provided you are not holding the remote to the sides or the rear of the projector, the remote will function within a maximum radius of 10m (33ft) and 30° above or below the projector level. If the projector does not respond to the remote control, move closer. Note: Yo u can also point the remote at the projected image. Projector and remote control buttons The projector can be operated using the remote control or the buttons on the top of the projector. All operations can be carried out with the remote control. The figure below shows the corresponding buttons on the remote control and on the projector for OSD menu operation. Some buttons have two functions. For example, item 3/5 on the projector functions both as the keystone button and as the up cursor key in OSD menus. Chapter 4. Chapter 5. On-Screen Display menu controls This projector has an on-screen display (OSD) that lets you make image adjustments and change various settings. Note: Yo u must have a display on the screen in order to access the OSD. Navigating the OSD Yo u can use the remote control or the buttons on the top of the projector to navigate and make changes to the OSD. The following sections show the menus in the OSD. Quality menu The Quality menu can be found through the main menu. To access the Quality menu, 1. Press the Menu button to open the OSD. 2. Press the left or right cursor button to move to the Quality menu. 3. Press the up or down cursor button to move up and down in the Quality menu. 4. Press the left or right cursor button to change values for settings. 5. Press the up or down cursor button to select a different Quality menu item for change. 6. If you wish to cancel all changes made within the Quality menu, select Cancel and press the Enter button. 7. Press Menu to confirm the new settings and leave the Quality menu. Item Description Default User Color This feature adjusts the color balance in each color of RGB (red, green, blue) and their neutral colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, white) by using color correction adjustment. Increasing a color ’s setting heightens the intensity of that color on the screen, while a lower setting makes a color less intense. Press the up or down cursor button to select a color. Press the left or right cursor button to adjust the selected color. Range: 0 - 100 n/a White Peaking White Peaking increases the output in the brightest whites without changing blacks and grays. It does not seriously obscure white detail. For a stronger image, adjust toward a stronger setting. Press the left or right cursor button to adjust the white peaking value. Range: 0 - 10 Data source: 10; Video source 2 Logo Display Press the right or left cursor button to enable or disable if the logo displays when the projector starts, and when no source is detected. range: On - Off On Auto Keystone When enabled, the projector automatically corrects any keystone distortion in the image when you press the Auto button(from the remote control or the keypad). Press the left or right cursor button to enable or disable Auto Keystone.
