PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION 01-6 PROCEDURES 13.Press FM button on the MFD, hold down until the display changes to AUTOSTORE. Using preset buttons A1 to A6, assign preferred station to preset button. Depress and hold preset button, the station signal will momentarily mute and will return in approximately 8 seconds. At this point an asterisk (*) will appear adjacent to the selected preset, denoting the successful setting. 14.Repeat the process for the 5 remaining FM presets. 15.Press the AM select button, preset 6 AM stations by repeating the FM preset procedure. 16.Press the Clock setting button on the MFD, wait for mode to change. Using the upper right hand pair of preset buttons, toggle and select either the 12 or 24 hour time setting. Then set hours and minutes.
PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION PROCEDURES 01-7 17.Following the screen icons and using the 4 indicated buttons, set the Day, Month and Year. 18.Turn ignition to the off position and remove key from switch. 19.Open upper and lower tailgates.20.Remove LH loadspace access panel. 21.Remove satellite navigation CD from packaging and place in drive. 22.Fit access panel to rear quarter panel.
PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION 01-8 PROCEDURES Vehicle exterior 1.Inspect road wheels and tyres for damage, check wheel retaining nuts for torque, 140 Nm (103 lbf.ft). 2.Lift spare wheel cover and support with prop. 3.Set tyre pressures: lFront 2.3 bar (33 psi). lRear 2.5 bar (36 psi). lFull size Spare 2.5 bar (36 psi). lSpace Saver Spare 4.1 bar (60 psi). 4.Fit spare wheel cover and secure in clips. 5.Close upper and lower tailgates. 6.Check the exterior of the vehicle is clean and free from damage. Road test 1.Whilst vehicle is on test, press the fascia mounted Tyre Pressure Monitor button to calibrate the tyre pressure ECU, if fitted. 2.Before driving vehicle, check the operation of: lLights, indicators, wipers, wash/wipe and hazard warning. lSeats and seat belts lFascia switches lHandbrake 3.Start vehicle and check operation of: lStarter/Inhibitor switch lElectric mirrors, including power fold lSunshine roof, if fitted 4.During the road test, ensure the transfer box range change functionality is tested by using the following method. lWith engine running and handbrake applied, select neutral on automatic gearbox lRequest range change for low gear with switch - wait until change is complete lRequest range change into high gear with switch - wait until change is complete lRepeat 5 times lEnsure high range is left selected5.Whilst driving the vehicle check the operation of cruise control and gearchange including sequential operation. 6.Check for any unusual noises from power train, suspension or braking system. Investigate any findings. 7.Check for squeaks and rattles from vehicle interior. Investigate any findings. 8. Satellite Navigation, if fitted: Check after test drive that the satellite navigation has established global position. 9.Press the menu button on the MFD, using the right hand rotary control follow the screen icons. Navigate until the global position can be read. 10.Position vehicle on lift. 11.Fit front bumper towing eye cover. 12.Raise vehicle on lift. 13.Visually check beneath vehicle for leaks from power train components. 14.Lower vehicle.
PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION PROCEDURES 01-9 Quality assurance checks 1.Update the vehicle service record. 2.Check the Service Action Bulletin register, ensure all current outstanding bulletins are completed prior to customer handover. 3.Ensure a copy of the PDI sheet is added to the Customer/Vehicle history file. 4.Ensure all relevant vehicle details are included in the Service Portfolio and are endorsed with the dealers stamp. 5.Record locking wheel nut code and place in Customer/Service history file, if applicable. 6.Ensure vehicle literature pack and security item contents are correct. 7.Place literature pack, mats and security items in the vehicle, if applicable. 8.Valet vehicle prior to release to customer.
