Tires 170 Tire wear The tires fitted as original equipment to your vehicle have wear indicators moulded into the tread pattern. When the tread has worn down to 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) the indicators start appearing at the surface of the tread pattern, producing the effect of a continuous band of rubber across the width of the tire. Tires 172 Traction The traction grades, from highest to lowest, are AA, A, B and C. The grades represent a tires ability to stop on wet pavement as measured under controlled conditions on specified government test surfaces of asphalt and concrete.
