BLOWER CONTROLS 11 ETM K1 DISCOVERY ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS 4. Check Maxi-Fuse MF2 of the Engine Compartment Fuse Box (P125). 5. Check Fuse F15 of the Fascia Fuse Box (P126). 6. Check Fuse F6 of the Satellite Fuse Box 1 (P127). 7. If the Front Blower Motor (M101) does not stop running with the Front Fan Speed Switch (X247) in Position 0, replace the Front Fan Speed Switch (X247). 8. If the Rear Blower Motor (M145) does not stop running with the Passengers Rear Fan Speed Switch (X246) in Position O, replace the Passengers Rear Fan Speed Switch (X246). 9. If fresh air does not enter the vehicle cabin with the Air Supply Selector Switch (X180) in the Outside Air position, check the Air Recirculation Solenoid (K123) and linkage for sticking or binding. 10. If the blower motor(s) operate with the ignition key removed, replace the Ignition Load Relay (K127). 11. If the blower motor(s) run but not at the speed indicated by the Fan Speed Switches), replace the appropriate Fan Speed Switch. SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS 1. If the Blower Motor(s) do not run at any speed, do Test A. 2. If the Front Blower Motor (M101) does not run at any speed, but the Rear Blower Motor (M145) operates correctly, do Test B. 3. If the Rear Blower Motor (M145) does not run at any speed, but the Front Blower Motor (M101) operates correctly, do Test E. 4. If the Front Blower Motor (M101) runs in some but not all Fan Speed Switch (X247) positions, do Test C. 5. If the Rear Blower Motor (M145) runs in some but not all Rear Fan Speed Switch (X246) positions, do Test F. 6. If the Air Supply Selector Switch (X180) does not allow the driver to change between recirculation and fresh air modes, do Test D.7. With the engine running and the Fan Speed Switch (X179) in position III, put the Air Supply Selector Switch (X180) to Recirculation mode. Place a piece of paper in front of the fresh air intake vents on the vehicle hood. If the paper is drawn toward the vents, do Test D. 8. With the engine running and the Fan Speed Switch (X179) in position III, put the Air Supply Selector Switch (X180) to Fresh Air Mode. Place a piece of paper in front of the recirculation air intake vents. If the paper is drawn toward the intake, do Test D.
