About discs
Playable disc types
This system has been designed to play back the following
types of discs:
DVD Video (DVD), Video CD (VCD), Super Video CD
(SVCD), Audio CD, CD-R, and CD-RW
• This system can also play back MP3 and JPEG files
recorded on CD-Rs and CD-RWs. For in-depth information
about MP3, see “MP3 disc playback” on page 46, and for
JPEG, see “JPEG disc playback” on page 48.
• Finalized DVD-R discs recorded with the DVD VIDEO
