• Slide the remote control mode 
selector to [AUDIO].
1Press [AUDIO IN] or [DIGITAL IN]. 
• Pressing [AUDIO IN] displays “AUDIO IN” 
and selects the device connected to the 
[AUDIO IN] terminals.

on a USB mass storage class device (hereinafter 
referred to as “USB device”) connected to the main 
unit. The operations are explained with a display of

■When a disc is played back
• You can use the menu screen to control play-
back of a PBC compatible disc.
• To cancel the PBC function, follow the instruc-
tions below.
- Specify the track number using the number buttons when the disc is stopped.
- Specify the track number using  4 or ¢  
when the disc is stopped, and then press 
[DVD  3] or  3 (playback).
• When the PBC function is canceled, the “PBC”  display disappears and the elapsed playback 
time appears.

• When “RESUME” is displayed in the display win-
dow, refer to page 26.
• The display differs according to the file type.  When a file is stopped, “MP3”, “WMA”, “WAV”, 
“ASF”, “DIVX” or “MPEG” appears. (The 
“MPEG” display refers to an MPEG1 or MPEG2

When a DVD VIDEO or a USB device is selected 
as the source, the messages shown below are dis-
played on the TV screen to indicate the status of 
the DVD VIDEO or USB device.The indicators corresponding to the status below 
light up in the display window.

• Any digital signal indicators do not light up when 
an analog signal comes in.

When playback is stopped in the middle, playback 
can be started from the stopped position.

Follow any of the operations below.
*1 “RESUME” is displayed in the display window.

playback has been stopped is cleared.

has been stopped is stored even when the main

• You cannot go back to the previous title and orig-
inal program (play list).
■When a disc is paused
Press [ SLOW] or [SLOW ].
• Each time you press [ SLOW] or [SLOW ], 
the speed increases.
• Press 8
 to pause playback, and press [DVD 3] 
or 3(playback) to return to normal playback.
NOTE
• No sound is produced.
• The picture motion in the reverse direction may 
not be smooth.
