31 ENA 5 6 Troubleshooting Problem Cause/Result Action Grinder is making a very loud noise.There are foreign objects in the grinder. TContact customer support in your country. Contact information is available on the company website at www.jura.com. The nozzle does not produce enough milk foam.The nozzle is either in the wrong position or is dirty. TAdjust the position of the nozzle (refer to Chapter 2 ‘Preparation – Cappuccino’). TRinse the nozzle (refer to Chapter 4 ‘Maintenance – Rinsing the nozzle’). Coffee only comes out in drips during preparation.Coffee or pre-ground coffee has been ground too finely and is blocking the sieve. TAdjust the grinder or use coarser pre- ground coffee (see Chapter 1, ‘Preparing and using for the first time – Adjusting grinder’). Water hardness cannot be adjusted.The CLARIS filter cartridge is activated. TDeactivate the CLARIS filter cartridge in programming mode. FILL B EA NS is displayed although the bean container has been filled.The grinder is not yet completely filled with beans. TPrepare a coffee speciality. FILL WATER TANK is displayed although the water tank is full.The water tank float is trapped. TDescale the water tank (refer to Chapter 4 ‘Maintenance – Descaling the water tank’). ERROR 2 is displayed. If the device is exposed to the cold for a long period of time, the heating function is disabled for safety reasons. TWait until the machine has reached room temperature. 32 ENA 5 7 Transport and environmentally neutral disposal Transport / Emptying the system Keep the packaging of your ENA. It should be used to protect the machine during transpor- tation. In order to protect the ENA from frost during transportation, the system must be emptied. Precondition: READY appears on the display. g T Turn the Rotary Switch until STEAM is displayed. k T Press the Rotary Switch. HEATING READY appears as soon as the ENA is sufficiently heated. l T Turn the switch to position m. STEAM, hot steam is discharged from the nozzle. TRemove and empty the water tank. Steam will continue to be discharged from the nozzle until the system is empty. CLOSE TAP Q T Press the on/off button to switch the machine off. y T Turn the switch to position o. EThe next time you use the machine the system must be refilled (see Chapter 1, ‘Preparing and using for the first time – First-time use’). Disposal Please dispose of old machines in an environmen- tally neutral way. H Old machines contain valuable materials which should be salvaged for recycling.
