    For access, remove these FRUs, in order:

    v“1060 Ultrabay 2000 device”on page 66
    v“1080 Keyboard”on page 69
    v“1090 Keyboard CRU insulator”on page 72
    v“1100 Hinge cover and clear sheet icon”on page 73
    v“1110 Keyboard bezel and speaker”on page 74

    When installing:Make sure that you fasten the connector
    firmly.

    Strip off the two insulation tapes (1) that secure the
    cable.

    							Note:When unplugging the antenna jack from the
    wireless PC Card, do not pull the cable; it might
    snap. Unplug the jack by grapping it with your
    fingers.

    Pull the wireless PC Card out with your fingers.

    							If you cannot pull the card out with your fingers, do as
    follows:
    1. Push the release button for the upper slot oncea,
    using a tapering stick; then the release button pops
    out.

    Note:After removing the wireless PC Card, be sure to
    push the release button back into the slot.

    							When installing:
    1. Install the sub card. Make sure that both of the
    connectors (steps6and8in the removal
    procedure) are firmly attached.
    2. Insert the wireless PC Card into the upper slot of the
    PC Card slot. Make sure that the label on the wireless
    PC Card faces the bottom side of the computer and
    that the card is firmly attached.
    3. Plug the black antenna cable into jacka(AUX), and
    the gray antenna cable into jackb(MAIN).

    							4. Secure the black cable with insulation tape as follows:

    Notes:
    a. Make sure that the cable does not jut out from the
    edge of the wireless PC Card as shown inAin the
    figure. Route the cable as shown in the left figure
    above.
    b. Route the cable along the edge of the PC Card slot
    as shown in the left figure above. Do not secure
    the cable separately from the edge of the PC Card
    slot as shown inBin the figure.

    							5. Route the cables as follows:
    a. Route the black cable and the gray cable one
    through the cable guide.
    b. Route the cables along the edge of the upper
    shield and secure them with the insulation tapea.
    c. Route the cable under LCD flexible cable(A)and
    alongside the LCD. (b)
    d. Route the cable between the fan assembly and the
    sub card. (c)
    e. Route the cable between the system board and the
    stiffener. Only at this point can any extra bend of
    the cables be allowed. (d)

    Note:Make sure that the cable is not on the sub card
    ine-part in the figure.
    6. Attach the flexible cable to the sub card and tighten the
    screws.
