Information Aspect ratio represents horizontal: vertical ratio on screen. Position Adjustment Vertical picture position can be adjusted for Panoramic 1,Zoom,C14:9L, and 14:9 Zoom mode as follows. 1. Press button on the remote control to select position adjustable size. 2. The information display will appear. It includes information of position if available. 3. Adjust the position by button. Adjustment range of each picture size are as shown below. Panoramic 1: -12 to+12 Zoom: -31 to+ 31 C14:9L and 14:9 Zoom: -16 to+ 16 CAUTION Using a wide-screen television This television has a screen mode selection feature. If an incompatible screen mode is selected to play certain software, such as a TV programme, the image would appear different from the original. Take this into consideration when making screen mode choices. Use of the wide feature displaying enlarged pictures in coffee shops, hotel and other establishments for commercial or public viewing purposes could infringe on the copyright holder’s right protected by Copyright Law. When a normal 4:3 image (not wide screen) is displayed over the entire screen in the Panoramic mode, the peripheral image may disappear partly and/or appear distorted in some cases. 62 Activate in DTT/TV/AV1~5/HDMI1~3 mode With this feature, you can watch different channels simultaneously on one screen. AV 1 5 AB TV AV [Split] FEATURES (continued) Multi Picture Mode [PinP] There are two modes (Split and PinP) in Multi-Picture mode. 1.To activate Multi Picture mode, press button on the remote control. Audio is output from the selected picture with the yellow frame. You can switch the Input modes (DTT, TV, AV1~5, and HDMI1~3) or change channels only on the picture with a yellow frame. 2.To change the selected picture, press ◄►button. The yellow frame is shifted from A to B back-and-forth. 3. To change the channel of the selected picture, press button. 4.To change the input mode of the selected picture, press button on the remote control. NOTE In TV mode, you cannot select the same channels on both sides simultaneously. You cannot select the same AV input on both sides simultaneously. You cannot select HDMI input on both sides. 5. Only when the 1080i or 1080p signal is received on the left screen (Main-screen), PinP mode is available. To switch to PinP mode, press button. Each time button is pressed, the picture mode is changed as below. 2-Picture (Split) 2-Picture (PinP) To change the selected picture, press ◄► button. When the selected picture is the small screen (Sub-screen) in PinP mode, the frame of the sub-screen is shown in yellow. When the selected picture is the large screen (Main-screen) in PinP mode, there is no yellow frame shown on Main-screen. To change the position of the sub-screen in PinP mode, press button. The position is changed as shown in the fi gure on the right. 6.To exit from the Multi Picture mode, press orbutton. Whenever you press button to activate the Multi Picture mode, it starts from Split mode. (Main-screen) (Sub- screen)
63 ENGLISH Activate in RGB mode When you activate the Multi Picture mode in RGB Input, the large screen (Main- screen) is RGB Input. The picture is displayed in PinP mode where the sub- screen is displayed inside of the large screen (Main-screen). 1.To activate Multi Picture mode, press button on the remote control. Audio is output from the selected picture. You can switch the Input modes (DTT, TV, AV1~5) or change channels only when the sub-screen is the selected picture. 2. 64 FEATURES (continued) Picture Freezing By pressing button, you can change to freeze mode easily anytime you like. Press it again to return to normal picture. It displays 2 pictures from the same source. One is active (left), whilst the other is still picture (right). This is very useful in order to avoid missing something or to make a note of something, such as a recipe. This is not available in RGB input mode. Active Freeze Freeze button
65 ENGLISH FEATURES (continued) Photo Input Function With this Photo Input function, you can enjoy watching Photos from such devices as Digital Still Camera and SD card along with useful features such as Slide Show. Operating the Photo Input 1. Before operating this function, make sure to turn the power OFF /Standby. 2. Prepare the DSC (Digital Still Camera) / USB card reader/ SD card or MMC as follows. Digital Still Camera : Set up with reference to the content about “connecting to PC” in the user’s manual of DSC. USB Card Reader : Insert memory cards into reader. SD Card / MMC : Ensure the card is inserted in the correct direction as indicated near the slot. 3. Connect the USB cable to the input terminal, or insert the SD card /MMC into the slot as shown. 4. Turn ON the TV after the USB cable is connected or the SD card / MMC is inserted. 5. Press button on the remote control to activate Photo Input mode. (Then, turn ON the DSC. Refer to the user’s manual of your DSC for the timing.) 6. Each time button is pressed, you can switch the mode as follows. Photo Normal Screen Make sure to turn the power OFF/Standby when disconnecting the DSC / USB card reader / SD card or MMC from the set. USB Cable SD Card/ MMC NOTE • Do not insert SD Card/MMC and USB cable at the same time. • Do not insert anything other than SD Card/MMC into the slot. 69 ENGLISH FEATURES (continued) Photo Input Function (continued) CAUTION In case of copying, viewing or editing a picture by computer, etc., it may not be displayed in this function. Do not connect any apparatus other than DSC, USB card reader, and SD card/MMC to the Photo Input connector. It causes a malfunction. Do not connect a DSC and USB card reader with USB HUB. Pictures may not be displayed correctly, or it causes a malfunction. Certain types of DSC, card readers, or SD card/MMC may not work with this Photo Input function. DSC with low battery power may not properly display photos in this function. Response time might vary depending on each image contents when switching pages, and loading fi les. The OSD message “No device containing pictures was found.” is displayed in case of the incomplete connection with USB cable or SD card / MMC and connection to a digital still camera or USB card reader without the memory card. The functions of the multi picture, CH selection, freeze mode, aspect, mode display, and so on are not available. Whilst displaying images, do not remove/insert USB cable and memory card. The picture may not be displayed correctly, depending on the connecting device in case of extending the USB cable. Do not use this function other than private purposes. It might infringe copyright laws. Back up all of the data in the memory card in case if data was lost due to unexpected accident. We do not assume any liability for the losses by misuse or malfunction.
