    MAIN MENU OPERATION (continued)
    Picture Menu (Photo mode)
    In this menu, you can make specifi c adjustments for the picture of photo mode based on your preference.
    By pressing z button at the bottom of each menu page, the next Picture menu page will appear on the screen.
    The menu items indicated by * can be automatically stored.

    Picture Mode*DynamicYou can make the best selection from 3 modes depending 
    on the lighting condition and intended use.
    Dynamic: Suitable for the brighter conditions.
    Natural   : Suitable for the normal lighting condition.
    Cinema  : Suitable for watching movie. Natural

    Contrast*0  100%
    (101  110%)This adjusts the contrast to meet the lighting environment 
    by using
    ◄► button.
     The maximum value can be extended to [110%] by 
    pressing and holding y button at [100%].
    This is the special feature prepared for the dark scenes. 
    At the normal condition, it is recommended to set the 
    value less than [100%]. 
    Brightness*
    0  100%Adjust according to personal preference by using 
    ◄►
    button.
    Colour*
    0  100%Adjust according to personal preference by using
    ◄►
    button.
    Hue*
    0
     100%Pressing{ button enhances red and weakens green, 
    whilst pressing y button weakens red and enhances 
    green. The setup hint is adjusting for the realistic skin 
    colour.

    0  100%Preferred sharpness can be adjusted by pressing {
    button for softer image or y button for sharper image.
    Colour Temperature*Cool
    You can select from 4 settings (default) depending on the 
    colour condition with

    Dynamic: Sharpen the gradation to improve the contrast 
    feeling.

    Colour Temp. Adjust*OnDriveOn: When you want to set specifi c adjustments in each of 
    the 4 Colour Temperature modes. You can adjust on 
    the Drive and Cutoff. The settings refl ect on the 
    Colour Temperature.
    Drive: Subdue the following colours on the brighter 
    parts.
           Cutoff:  Subdue the following colours on the darker 
    parts.
           Reset: Each item on “Colour Temp. Adjust” can be 
    restored to the original factory setting.

    Audio Menu
    With this menu, you adjust and customize the audio condition as you like.
    You can move on to the next menu screen by pressing z button at the bottom.
    The menu items indicated by * can be automatically stored.

    You can select the most suitable sound condition from 4 
    alternatives according to the contents.
    If you want to adjust each item value based on your

    TruBass gives you the enhanced bass sound.

    BBE*Off
    BBE High Defi nition Sound restores clarity and presence 
    for better speech intelligibility and musical realism.

    This gives you more natural and realistic sound by shifting 
    up audio image (sound image). By making clear outline of 
    sound, it gets easier to hear speaking voice such as news. Low

    Internal Speaker*OffThis needs to be switched to Off when you want to listen 
    to audio from external equipment.

    Headphone Volume*0 ~ 60 It allows you to adjust the volume of the headphone.

    TV+H.PhoneYou can hear the sound from both speakers and 
    headphone.
    H.Phone onlyYou will hear the sound only from headphone.
    Digital Output*Dolby DigitalThis function allows you to select between Dolby
    ® Digital 
    and PCM either of which connected amplifi er has. This 
    setting will be fed into optical output. Dolby
    ® Digital 
    provides six independent track channels, and PCM 
    provides two independent soundtrack channels.
    PCM
    DRC*
    (Dynamic Range 
    Compression)OffUse this function to compress the range of sound volume. 
    It is possible not only to suppress the output of loud 
    sound at night, but also to raise the volume of low sound.
    The default setting is ON. On
    ResetEach item on this menu screen can be restored to the 
    original factory settings by pressing
    OKbutton.

    FUNCTION MENU OPERATION
    Basic Mode
    This can access to various kinds of useful features, such as EPG and 
    timers. If you press FUNCTION
     button on remote control at normal mode, the 
    following menu appears.

    Favourite
    This gives access to Favourites page which allows you to set 
    a channel as Favourite. See
    55 to set as favourite channels.
    Programme
    SearchChannel Category
    You can search for programmes.
    When you select “Programme Search” and press
    OKbutton, Search 
    Condition screen is displayed.
    Select a search condition (Category / Programme Type / Date) by using 
    button, and select the value of each items by using◄►button.
    After setting the search condition, select 
    Search.
    In case that time is not acquired from DTT broadcast, or no 
    channel is stored in DTT channel list, this is not available.
    (This is available only in DTT mode.)
    Programme Type
    Date
    TimersProgramme TimersThis reminds you that the desired programme is about to 
    start even whilst you are watching another channel. This 
    is available only if TV obtains the current time information 
    from DTT broadcasting.

    Off Timer--min.
    This function automatically sets the power to Standby 
    mode when the selected time period has elapsed. 30min.

    On Timer --h--mThis function automatically sets the power from standby 
    mode to On when the specifi ed time period has elapsed. 
    Input the desired time within the range of 00h01m to 
    11h59m by using
     button on the remote control.
    Auto ClockDTTSelect if the date and time information is acquired 
    automatically. 
    DTT:  The date and time information can be acquired from 
    DTT signal automatically. 
    Teletext:  The date and time information can be acquired 
    from analogue Teletext automatically only when 
    the channel number selected at “Teletext 
    Position” is selected.
    Off:  
    Set the current date and time at “Date” and “Time” menu.

    Teletext PositionWhen using the date and time information acquired from 
    analogue Teletext, select one of the channel numbers 
    which corresponds to analogue Teletext with 
    ◄► button.
    DateYou can set the current date and time manually here 
    when “Off” is selected at “Auto Clock”. When “DTT” or 
    “Teletext” is selected at “Auto Clock”, the current date and 
    time acquired automatically are displayed. Time
    Time Offset -3~+3
    If the time information in Programme Information, Electronic 
    Programme Guide (EPG), or the current time is incorrect, 
    the correct time can be set in 1-hour steps.
    It cannot be changed if you do not have time information.

    Lock &
    RatingChannel LockOffIf set On, the selected channels can be locked so that it 
    cannot be selected without 4 digit codes. To select the 
    channel to lock, go to “Channel Manager” from main 
    menu. See
    33 for the details. (This is available only in 
    DTT mode.) On
    Rating LockOffIf set On, this avoids watching a programme by the age 
    selected in “Rating Age”. 
    (This is available only for L37X01E model in DTT mode.) On
    Rating Age 4~18You can select age to lock a programme.
    (This is available only for L37X01E model in DTT mode.)
    Menu LockOffThis avoids entering “Channel Manager,” “Confi guration,” 
    and “Initial Setup” of main menu without lock key. (This is 
    available only in DTT mode.) On
    Common Interface
    You can confi rm the module information which depends on 
    the module inserted. Please ask the service provider if the 
    module type is suitable for TV. The TV supports module 
    meeting DVB standard. (This is available only in DTT mode.)
    You can select the most suitable display size.
    The selectable size varies depending on the input mode.

    By pressing
    button on the remote control, you can also 
    change the zoom mode. Zoom
    Stop Timer EventYou can stop the running timer event. This menu item is 
    available only whilst running timer event.
    NOTE
    • Each time the setting is changed in “Lock & Rating”, Lock key is required to input in order to enable the new 
    setting. Enter the current Lock Key or “7777”. (See
    31 about “Lock Key”.)
    * Select “Off” if the date and time acquired from DTT or analogue Teletext signal is incorrect.
    * If “Off” is selected the set will not automatically switch between Summer and Winter time. The correct time will 
    have to be set manually each time the clocks change.

    If you press
    FUNCTION button on the remote control during EPG mode, the following menu appears. See52 for the details

    • Information: Data broadcasting channels (L37X01U model only)
    • Favourite1~6: Channels registered in each page of Favourite.

    FEATURES
    Channel List (TV mode)
    You can adjust channel setting on channel list from Channel Manager menu.
    1. PressMENU
     button on the remote control in TV mode.
    2. Select “Channel Manager” from Main Menu.
    3. Channel list shows up with those status marks.
     .... Favourite  channel
     .... Skip  channel
    4. You can adjust channel list with the following remote control keys.  
    Select items of Channel List. 
    The picture of selected channel is displayed at upper right screen.
    Move to the next/previous page of Channel List if the number of channel is 
    more than 11.
    OKJump to “Channel Edit”.
    ◄►Switch between Channel List and setting section at the lower right.
    Red (Del.)Delete the selected channel from the list. If you select [Continue] on the 
    appeared message, the channel will be deleted.
    The channel is deleted also from Favourite.
    Green (Skip)Set “Skip On/Off” of the selected channel.
    By selecting “On,” the channel will be canceled from the Favourite setting if 
    the channel sets as Favourite previously.
    Yellow (Sort)Sort the channel position on the Channel List.
    1) Press Yellow button whilst selecting the channel which you wish to sort.
    2) Select the destination by using
    button.
    3) Press 
    OK button.
    5. You can use the detailed setting by using setting section shown on the lower right. 
    HideYou can hide/show the channel which sets as “Skip On” by pressing 
    OK
    button whilst selecting “Hide”.
    On: If set as “Skip On,” the channel is not displayed on Channel List. 
    The indicator located on the left of the icon 
     will be green. 
    Off:  Display all channel on the Channel List regardless of “Skip On/Off”. 
    The indicator located on the left of the icon 
     will be black.
    Fine TuningFine-tune the selected channel. Pressing 
    OK button leads to the detailed 
    setting screen.
    6. Press 
     button (several times if necessary) on the remote control to return to Normal screen.
    • Press 
     button on the remote control to switch to DTT Channel Manager screen.

    OKbutton to move to Channel Edit page. See32 for the details.
