User’s Manual 11 ADJUSTING THE VIEWING ANGLE For optimal viewing it is recommended to look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitor’s angle to your own preference. Hold the stand so you do not topple the mon itor when you change the monitor’s angle. You are able to adjust the monitor’s angle from -5 to 15. Figure.3. Monitor Angle NOTES: Do not touch the LCD screen when you change th e angle. It may cause damage or break the LCD screen. Be careful not to place fingers or hands near the hinges when tilting the monitor, otherwise pinching can result.
User’s Manual 12 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Press the power button to turn the monitor on or off. The other control buttons are located on the front panel of the monitor (See Figure 4). By changing these settings, the picture can be adjusted to your personal preferences. The power cord should be connected. Connect the Signal cable from the monitor to the VGA card. Press the power button to turn on the m onitor. The power indicator will light up. User’s Manual 13 FRONT PANEL CONTROL Power Button: Press this button to switch ON/OFF of monitor’s power. Power Indicator: Blue — Power On mode. Orange — Power Saving mode. MENU: 1. Turn the OSD menu on. 2. Enter sub menu when OSD menu is ON. Adjust ▲▼: 1. Invalid when the OSD menu is off. 2. Navigate through adjustment icons when OSD is ON or adjust a function when function is activated. 【 i 】Button: 1. Press this button will start 「Auto Adjust」 function when the OSD menu is off. (The auto adjustment function is used to optimize the 「horizontal position」, 「vertical position 」, 「clock 」, and 「phase 」). 2. When the OSD menu is off , press this button fo r 5 seconds to select one of the following input source 「VGA 」,「DVI 」,「HDMI 」. 3. Exit current menu when OSD is ON. Hotkeys: 1. Power Lock and Unlock: Press the 【MENU】 and【▼】keys at the same time for 10 seconds to lock or unlock the power button. 2. OSD Lock and Unlock: Press the 【MENU】 and【▲】 keys at the same time for 10 seconds to lock or unlock OSD buttons. NOTES: Do not install the monitor in a location near heat sources such as radiators or air dusts, or in a place subject to direct sunlight, or excessive dust or mechanical vibration or shock. Save the original shipping box and packing materials, as they will come in handy if you ever have to ship your monitor. For maximum protection, repackage your monitor as it was originally packed at the factory. To keep the monitor looking new, periodically clean it with a soft cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth lightly dampened with a m ild detergent solution. Never use strong solvents such as thinner, benzene, or abrasive cleaners, since these will damage the cabinet. As a safety precaution, always unplug the monitor before cleaning it.
User’s Manual 14 HOW TO ADJUST A SETTINGS PICTURE BRIGHTNESS Adjust the brightness value of the display according to your preference. Select「BRIGHTNESS」option to adjust the brightness value. CONTRAST Adjust the contrast value of the display according to your preference. Select 「CONTRAST」option to adjust the contrast value. H-POSITION Select the 「H-POSITION 」 option to shift the screen image to the left or right. Enter the option and adjust the level. [For VGA only] V-POSITION Select the 「V-POSITION 」 option to shift the screen image up or down. Enter the option and adjust the level. [For VGA only] PHASE Select the「PHASE 」option to automatic optimize image. [For VGA only] CLOCK Select the 「CLOCK」option to reduce the vertical flicker of characters on the screen. Enter the option and adjust the level. [For VGA only] COLOUR-TEMP Adjust the color temperature va lue of the display according to your preference: 9300 /7500/ 6500/sRGB/USER. If you select USER option, 1. To adjust the red, enter the「R」option and adjust the level. 2. To adjust the green, enter the 「G」option and adjust the level. 3. To adjust the blue, enter the 「B」option and adjust the level. AUTO ADJUST The auto adjustment function is used to optimize the 「 H-POSITION 」, 「 V-POSITION 」, 「 CLOCK 」 and 「PHASE 」. [For VGA Input only] OSD OSD TIMEOUT Select 「OSD TIME OUT 」option to set the OSD time out from 5 to 30 seconds. Enter the op tion and adjust the level. DISPLAY DISPLAY MODE Select the 「DISPLAY MODE 」option to change between Full and Aspect. OPTICOLOR Select the 「OPTICOLOR 」 option to select optimal mode for Office or Movie or Game.
User’s Manual 15 DCR Select the「DCR」option to switch the function On or Off ECO Select the 「ECO 」option to switch the function On or Off. SHARPNESS Select the 「SHARPNESS 」option to adjust the sharpness of the display. Set the value from 0 to 100. OD Select the「OD」option to switch the function On or Off. OTHER SETTINGS LANGUAGE Select 「LANGUAGE 」 option to change the language of the OSD. Enter the option and select a language. [Reference only, the OSD Language depends on the selected model] INPUT SELECT Select the 「INPUT SELECT 」option to change between VGA or DVI or HDMI source. RESET Select the 「RESET」 option to reset to the monitor’s default setting. This will erase the current settings. User’s Manual 16 PLUG AND PLAY Plug & Play DDC2B Feature This monitor is equipped with VESA DDC2B capabilities according to the VESA DDC STANDARD. It allows the monitor to inform the host system of its identity and, depending on the level of DDC used, communicate additional information about its display capabilities. The DDC2B is a bidirectional data channel based on the I²C protoc ol. The host can request EDID information over the DDC2B channel. THIS MONITOR WILL APPEAR TO BE NON- FUNCTIONAL IF THERE IS NO VIDEO INPUT SIGNAL. IN ORDER FOR THIS MONITOR TO OPERATE PROPERLY, THERE MUST BE A VIDEO INPUT SIGNAL. This monitor meets the Green monitor standard s as set by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) and/or the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and The Swedish Confederation Employees ( NUTEK). This feature is designed to conserve electrical energy by reducing power consumption when there is no vi deo-input signal present. When there is no video input signal this monitor, following a time-out period, will automatically switch to power saving mode. This reduces the monitors internal power s upply consumption. After the video input signal is restored, full power is restored and the display is automatically re drawn. The appearance is similar to a Screen Saver feature except the display is completely off. The display is restored by pressing a key on the keyboard, or clicking the mouse.
User’s Manual 17 TECHNICAL SUPPORT (FAQ) Q & A FOR GENERAL PROBLEMS PROBLEM & QUESTION POSSIBLE SOLUTION Power LED is not on *Check if the Power Switch is in the ON position. *Power Cord should be connected. No Plug & Play *Check if the PC system is Plug & Play compatible. *Check if the Video Card is Plug & Play compatible. *Check if any plug pins on the VGA , DVI or HDMI connector are bent. The display is too dark or too bright. *Adjust the Contrast and Brightness Controls. Picture bounces or a wave pattern is present in the picture *Move electrical devices that may cause electrical interference. The power LED is ON (blue) but there’s no video or no picture. *Computer Power Switch should be in the ON position. *Computer Video Card should be snugly seated in its slot. *Make sure monitor’s video cable is properly connected to the computer. *Inspect monitor’s video cable and make sure none of the pins are bent. *Make sure computer is operational by hitting the CAPS LOCK key on the keyboard while observing the CAPS LOCK LED. The LED should either turn ON or OFF after hitting the CAPS LOCK key. Missing one of the primary colors (RED, GREEN, or BLUE) *Inspect the monitor’s video cable and make sure that none of the pins are bent. Screen image is not centered or sized properly. * Adjust pixel frequency CLOCK or press i Button. Picture has color defects (White does not look white) *Adjust RGB color or select color temperature. The screen resolution needs to be adjusted *Use win 2000/ME/XP Right click anywhere on desktop and select Properties>Settings >Screen Resolution . Use the silder to adjust the reslution and click Apply. No HDMI sound is outputted from monitor’s audio line out *Make sure cable connection is correct. *Make sure the video input source is “HDMI mode” *Make sure graphic card output is HDMI with audio. *Make sure PC audio volume is not mute.

Make sure your PC computer (Hardw are requirement) can support Windows 7. 2. Make sure your video ca rd can run Windows 7. 3. If your video card can support Windows 7, need to in stall the latest Win 7 driver of your video card. Suggest to do the following: 1. Install the latest Windows 7 vide o driver of your video card. 2. Try to use the recommended display resolu tion that is supported by the monitor. 3.
