Lossofsignal Ifavideosourcesignalisnotdetected,outofrangeoftheprojector’ssupportvideomodesorthe signalisbeingswitchedtoadifferentdeviceorinput, theprojectordoesn’tshowasourcesignalandinstead displaystheSMARTlogoonabluescreen. Toresolvesignallossissues 1.Waitapproximately45secondsfortheimagetosynchronise.Somevideosignalsrequirea longersynchronisationperiod;cyclingbackthroughinputstotheoneyouwantalsohelps imagesynchronisation. 2.Iftheimagedoesn’tsynchronise,checkyourcableconnectionstotheprojector. 3.Ensurethattheimagesignaliscompatiblewiththeprojector(seeVideoformatcompatibility onpage75yf. 4.Ifthereareanyextensioncables,switchboxes,connectionwallplatesorotherdevicesin thevideoconnectionfromthecomputertotheprojector,temporarilyremovethemtoensure theyaren’tcausingthevideosignalloss. 5.Ifyourprojectorstilldoesn’tshowasourcesignal,contactyourauthorisedSMARTreseller. Theprojectorincludesaninternalspeaker.Youcanalsoconnectanexternalaudiosystemtothe audiooutputconnectorintheprojector’sconnectionpanel.Ifsoundisn’tcomingfromeitheryour internalspeakeroryourexternalaudiosystem,performthefollowingprocedures. N O T E YoumightneedtoconfigureyourcomputertopassaudiothroughHDMIifitisn’tconfigured automatically. Toresolveaudioissues,completethefollowingtasks: lIfyou’reusingoptionalexternalspeakersoranexternalaudiosystem,ensurethatthe speakers’oraudiosystem’scablesareproperlyconnectedtotheaudiooutputplugonthe projector’sconnectionpanel. lForthepurposeoftroubleshooting,enableboththeinternalandexternalspeakersby ensuringthattheSystemOutputSwitchintheaudiomenuissettoLineOut+Speaker. lEnsurethatthevideocablefromyourcomputerisconnectedtotheappropriatevideo connectoronyourprojector. lIfyou’reusingaVGAcable,ensurethattheanalogueaudiocablefromyourcomputer’s audiooutputisconnectedtotheprojector’sVGAaudioinputconnector. lPresstheMutebuttonontheprojector’sremotecontrolandifAudioMuteisonturnitoff. lUsetheprojector’sremotecontroltoensurethatthevolumeisn’tatthelowestsetting. lIfyou’reusinganexternalaudiosystem,ensurethatyourspeakeroraudiosystemisonand thatthevolumeisturnedup. lCheckthatyourvideosourceinput,suchasyourcomputerorvideodevice,isn’t malfunctioning.Ensurethatitsaudiooutputisonandthatthevolumeisn’tsettothelowest position. N O T E Ifyou'reusinganHDMIvideoinputontheprojector,don’tuseanyDVItoHDMIadapters, becausetheydon’ttransferaudiofromtheDVIsourcetotheHDMIinputontheprojector. lIfthepreviousstepsdon’tresolvetheissue,contactyourauthorisedSMART reseller. Resolvingnetworkcommunicationissues Ifyoudon’thavenetworkaccess,performthefollowingproceduretotroubleshootyoursystem. Toresolvenetworkcommunicationissues 1.Ensurethatyournetworkcableisproperlyconnectedtotheinternetconnectiononthe projector’sconnectionpanel.TherearetwoRJ45(8P8Cyfports:oneisforthenetworkand oneisforprojector2.Ensurethatthenetworkcableconnectedtothecorrectone. 2.EnsurethattheLANwarninglightontheprojectorisgreen.Toactivatetheprojector’s networkfeatures,usethe“vgaoutnetenable=on”RS-232command(seeProjector programmingcommandsonpage55yforenabletheNetworkandVGAOutsetting(see Adjustingprojectorsettingsonpage67yf.Thenetworkfeaturesontheprojectordon’twork untilyoucompleteoneofthesetasks. Ensurethatthenetworkisenabledintheprojector'son-screendisplaymenu. 3.Ifyoustilldon’thavenetworkaccess,contactyournetworkadministrator.Ifyour administratorisunabletoresolvetheissue,contactyourauthorisedSMARTreseller. Transportingyourinteractivewhiteboard system SaveyouroriginalSMART Boardinteractivewhiteboardpackagingsothatit’savailableifyou needtotransportyourinteractivewhiteboardsystem.Whenrequired,repackitwithallofthe originalpackaging.Thispackagingwasdesignedtoprovideoptimalshockandvibration protection.Ifyounolongerhaveyouroriginalpackaging,purchasethesamepackagingdirectly fromyourauthorisedSMARTreseller.
