    Donotspraycleanersorsolventsnearanypartoftheprojectorbecausetheycanspreada
    chemicalmistonsomeoftheprojector’scomponentsandlamp,resultingindamage,
    stainingorpoorimagequality.
    lDonotusecompressedairtocleantheprojector.
    Whencleaningtheprojector’slensormirror:
    lUseabellowsbulborairblowerbulb(commonlyfoundinaudio-visualsupplystoresyftoblow
    offdust.
    lIfwipingthelensormirrorisunavoidable,wearprotectiveglovesandgatherthecleaning
    clothintoaball.Gentlyfanthecleaningclothacrossthelensormirrorasyouwoulda
    featherduster.Donotapplyanypressuretothelensormirror.

    Eventuallythelampmodulewilldimandamessagewillappearremindingyoutoreplacethe
    lamp.Makesurethatyouhaveareplacementprojectorlampmodulebeforeproceeding.

    lReplacethelampwhentheprojectordisplaysitslamplifewarningmessage.Ifyou
    continuetousetheprojectorafterthismessageappears,thelampcanshatterorburst,
    scatteringglassthroughouttheprojector.
    lIfthelampshattersorbursts,leaveandthenventilatethearea.
    Nextdothefollowing:
    oAvoidtouchingtheglassfragmentsbecausetheycancauseinjury.
    oWashyourhandsthoroughlyifyouhavecomeintocontactwithlampdebris.
    oThoroughlycleantheareaaroundtheprojector,anddiscardanyedibleitemsplaced
    inthatareabecausetheycouldbecontaminated.
    oCallyourauthorisedSMARTresellerforinstructions.Donotattempttoreplacethe
    lamp.
    lWhenreplacingtheprojectorlamp:
    oPuttheprojectorintoStandbymodeandwait30minutesforthelamptocool
    completely.
    oDonotremoveanyscrewsotherthanthosespecifiedinthelampreplacement
    instructions.
    oWearprotectiveeyewearwhilstchangingthelamp.Failuretodosocancause
    injuriesincludinglossofeyesightifthelampshattersorbursts.
    oUseonlyreplacementlampsapprovedbySMART Technologies.Contactyour

    oNeverreplacethelampmodulewithapreviouslyusedlampmodule.

    Resettingthelamphours
    Onceyouhavereplacedthelampmodule,youneedtoaccesstheprojectorservicemenuand
    resetthelamphours.Topreventaccidentalerrors,onlyasystemadministratorshouldperform
    thisprocedure.

    Alwaysresetthelamphoursafteryoureplacethelamp,becauselampserviceremindersare
    basedonthecurrenthoursofuse.
    Toresetthelamphours
    1.Usingtheremotecontrol,pressthefollowingbuttonsquicklytoaccesstheservicemenu:
    Down,Up,Up,Left,Up.

    Donotadjustanysettingsintheservicemenuotherthanthoselistedinthisguide.
    Changingothersettingscandamageoraffecttheoperationofyourprojectorandmay
    invalidateyourwarranty.
    2.ScrolldowntoLampHourResetandthenpressEnter.

    Replacingtheremotecontrolbattery
    Followthisproceduretoreplacetheremotecontrolbattery.

    lReducetheriskassociatedwithaleakingbatteryintheprojector’sremotecontrolby
    followingthesepractices:
    oUseonlythespecifiedCR2025coin-cellbattery.
    oRemovethebatterywhentheremotecontrolisunusedforanextendedperiod.
    oDonotheat,disassemble,shortorrechargethebattery,orexposeittofireorhigh
    temperatures.
    oAvoideyeandskincontactwiththebatteryifithasaleak.
    lDisposeoftheexhaustedbatteryandproductcomponentsinaccordancewithapplicable
    regulations.
    Toreplacetheremotecontrolbattery
    1.Holddownthesidereleaseontheleft sideofthebatteryholderandpullthebatteryholder
    completelyoutoftheremotecontrol.
    2.RemovetheoldbatteryfromthebatteryholderandreplaceitwithaCR2025coin-cell
    battery.
