The camera is equipped with diopter adjustment 
in the range –4 to +2 m
–1 to accommodate indi-
vidual diff  erences in vision.  Rotate the diopter 
adjustment control until the viewfi nder display is 
in sharp focus.

   4 Focus.Frame the picture with your subject in the center of the display and press the shutter 
button halfway to focus.
 
R If the subject is poorly lit, the AF-assist illuminator may light (P 73).
If the camera is able to focus , it will beep twice and focus area will glow green.  Focus and exposure will

Follow the steps below to delete the current picture.  Note that deleted pictures can not be recovered; 
copy important pictures to a computer or other storage device before proceeding .
