Follow theinstructions onthe screen toclean theprint head, check thenozzles, andrepeat the
 process
asnecessary.
 If
you don’t see anyimprovement aftercleaning theprint head upto4times, waitatleast 6hours. Then
 try
cleaning theprint head again. Ifquality stilldoes notimprove, oneofthe inkcartridges...

canclean theprint head using thetouch panel onyour product.
 1.
Load afew sheets ofplain paper inthe cassette (orincassette 1ifyour product hastwocassettes).
 2.
Press the homebutton, ifnecessary.
 3.
Select Setup,then press OK.
 4.
Select Maintenance ,then press OK.

 7.
Select thecleaning cycleyouwant torun, then press oneofthe buttons.
 Note:
Usethenozzle checkpattern todetermine whichcolors needcleaning. Youcansave inkby
 cleaning
onlyselected colors.
 When
thecleaning cycleisfinished, youseeamessage onthe screen.
 Caution:
Neverturnoffthe product duringacleaning cycleoryou may damage it.
 8.
Select Printnozzle checkpattern ,then press OK.
 9.
Press oneofthe buttons toconfirm thattheprint head isclean.
 If
you don’t see anyimprovement aftercleaning...

Click Start tobegin thecleaning cycle.
 The
powerlightflashes throughout thecleaning cycleandstays onwhen thecleaning cycleis
 finished.

Caution:
Neverturnoffthe product duringacleaning cycleoryou may damage it.
 6.
When thecleaning cycleisfinished, youcancheck tosee ifthe nozzles areclean; clickPrint Nozzle
