5. In the text box type the following information:

Buttons, Lights, Messages, and Icons
Buttons 
The following table describes the functions of the control panel buttons.
Button Description
 power button Turns the printer on or off. 
 pause button  Stops printing temporarily.
Restarts printing if pressed when the printer is 
paused.
Clears a print job in the printer’s memory if pressed 
and held for 3 seconds.
Returns the printer to the READY state when the 
printer is in Menu mode.

You can enter Maintenance mode by turning on the printer while holding down 
the   pause button. See Maintenance Mode on page 137 for more

/paper feed button  Feeds paper in the forward direction.
Ejects cut sheet paper when   Sheet is selected

Lights
The lights show the printer’s status and indicate errors.
If all the lights are flashing, the printer needs service. Contact your dealer or 
Epson for assistance. See Where To Get Help on page 229.
Light Description
 pause light solid 
greenThe printer is in pause mode.
 pause light flashing 
greenThe printer is printing.
The printer is cleaning the print head.
The printer is drying ink on the printed paper.

The messages on the printer’s LCD show the printer’s current status or notify
