    When [Error (Detail)] or [Warning (Detail)] is displayed in the self-diagnosis display of the  [Projector status] 
    screen, click it to display the error/warning details.

    Displays the item check results.
    [OK]: Indicates that operation is normal.
    [FAILED]: Indicates that there is a problem.
    [WARNING]: Indicates that there is a warning.
     
    r [FAILED] items displayed when a problem occurs
    Item Description
    [FAN] Trouble has occurred in the fan or its drive circuit. Consult your dealer.
    [FAN(R_B)] Trouble has occurred in the R/B panel cooling fan.
    [FAN(G)] Trouble has occurred in the G panel cooling fan.
    [FAN(PBS)] Trouble has occurred in the PBS cooling fan.
    [FAN(LAMP)] Trouble has occurred in the lamp cooling fan.
    [FAN(REAR)] Trouble has occurred in the rear fan.
    [FAN(POWER)] Trouble has occurred in the power cooling fan.
    [FAN(EXHAUST)] Trouble has occurred in the exhaust fan.
    [INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE] The air intake temperature is too high. The projector may be used in an operating 
    environment where the temperature is high, such as near a heating appliance.
    [EXHAUST AIR TEMPERATURE] The exhaust air temperature is high. The air exhaust port may be blocked.
    [LAMP REMAIN TIME] The lamp runtime has exceeded the prescribed cumulative time, and it is now time to replace 
    the lamp.
    [LAMP STATUS] The lamp has failed to light.
    Wait a short while for the lamp to cool off, and then turn on the power.
    [APERTURE (CONTRAST-SHUTTER)]
    *1Trouble has occurred in the contrast shutter circuitry. Consult your dealer.
    [SHUTTER (MUTE-SHUTTER)]
    *1Trouble has occurred in the shutter circuitry. Consult your dealer.
    [INTAKE AIR TEMP.SENSOR] Trouble has occurred in the sensor used to detect intake air temperature.\
     Consult your 
    dealer.
    [EXHAUST AIR TEMP.SENSOR] Trouble has occurred in the sensor used to detect exhaust air temperature. Consult your 
    dealer.
    [BATTERY] Battery replacement is required. Consult your dealer.
    [AIRFLOW SENSOR] Trouble has occurred in the sensor used to detect airflow. Consult your dealer.
    [LENS MOUNTER] Trouble has occurred in the lens mounter. Consult your dealer.
    [FILTER UNIT] The air filter unit is not attached. Check the attachment of the air filter unit. ( x page 139)
    [AIR FILTER] There is too much dust accumulated in the air filter unit. Turn the  switch to 
     (
    x page 50), and clean the air filter. (x page 139)

    [WIRELESS LAN]
    Displays the configuration details of wireless LAN when the 
    wireless module is attached. 2 
    [WIRED LAN]
    Displays the configuration details of wired LAN.
    [Access error log] page
    Click [Status] 
    → [Access error log].
    The error log on the web server is displayed such as access to the pages that do not exist or access with 
    unauthorized user names or passwords.
    [Mail error log] page
    Click [Status]  → [Mail error log].
    Display E-mail error information if failed to send periodic E-mails.
    Note
     
    f [Access error log] and [Mail error log] display the recent few hundred accesses/requests. 
    All information may not be displayed when many 
    accesses/requests are made at a time.
     
    f When information in [Access error log] and [Mail error log] exceeds a certain amount, older information is erased.
     
    f Check [Access error log] and [Mail error log] periodically.

    Enters the name of the projector. Enter the host name if it is 
    required when using a DHCP server etc.
    2  [DHCP ON], [DHCP OFF
    ]Enables the DHCP client function, set to [DHCP ON].
    3  [IP ADDRESS]
    Enters the IP address when not using a DHCP server.
    4  [SUBNET MASK]
    Enters the subnet mask when not using a DHCP server.
    5  [DEFAULT GATEWAY]
    Enters the default gateway address when not using a DHCP 
    server. 6 
    [DNS1]
    Enters the DNS1 server address.
    Permissible characters for the entry of DNS1 server address.   
    (preferred):
    Numbers (0 - 9), period (.)
    (Example: 192.168.0.253)
    7  [DNS2]
    Enters the DNS2 server address.
    Permissible characters for the entry of DNS2 server address.   
    (alternate):
    Numbers (0 - 9), period (.)
    (Example: 192.168.0.254)
    8  [Back], [Next]
    Click the [Back] button to return to the original screen. The 
    current settings are displayed by pressing the [Next] button.
    Click the [Submit] button to update the settings.
    Note
     
    f When you use the “Forward” and “Back” functions of your browser, a warning message “Page has Expired” may appear. In that case, click 
    [Network config] again since the following operation will not be guaranteed.
     
    f Changing LAN settings while connected to the LAN may cause the connection to cut out.

    Wireless LAN

    1  [WIRELESS LAN]
    Selects [Enable] when you want to enable the wireless LAN 
    function.
    2  [SSID]
    Sets the SSID for use.
    3  [CHANNEL]
    Selects the channel for use. 4 
    [ENCRYPTION]
    Selects [WPA2-PSK(AES)] when performing encrypted 
    communications.
    5  [KEY]
    Sets the key to be used when performing encrypted 
    communications.
    8 to 15 alphanumerics can be input. 
    6  [Back], [Change]
    Click the [Back] button to return to the original screen. The setting 
    change screen is displayed by pressing the [Change] button.
    Click the [Submit] button to update the settings.
    Note
     
    f Changing LAN settings while connected to the LAN may cause the connection to cut out.
     
    f The setting values of the [Network config] page will return to the factory default when the [INITIALIZE] of the [NETWORK] menu is executed (
    x 
    page 110).
     
    f The [ENCRYPTION] is set to [DISABLE] in the factory default setting. If you want to communicate with wireless LAN, it is recommended that 
    the [ENCRYPTION] is set to [WPA2-PSK (AES)] for security.
    [Ping test] page
    Check whether the network is connected to the E-mail server, POP server, DNS server, etc.
    Click [Detailed set up] 
    → [Ping test].

    Sets to [ON] when setting [AMBIENT LIGHT DETECTION],

    Selects enable ([ON])/disable ([OFF]) of the environmental 
    luminance interlock function.

    Selects the time that the lamp is turned off when the POWER 
    MANAGEMENT function is using.

    Updates the settings.
    *1  [SHUTTER DETECTION] is for PT-EZ590, PT-EW650 and PT-EX620 
    [AV MUTE DETECTION] is for PT-EW550 and PT-EX520, it selects to enable ([ON])/disable ([OFF]) of the AV mute detection function.

    f For details of each setting item, refer to the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu 
    → [ECO MANAGEMENT] (
    x page 93) on the projector.
    [E-mail set up] page
    When there is a problem or the runtime of a lamp reaches a set value, an E-mail can be sent to preset E-mail 
    addresses (up to two addresses).
    Click [Detailed set up] 
    → [E-mail set up].

    [ENABLE]
    Select [Enable] to use the E-mail function.
    2  [SMTP SERVER NAME]
    Enter the IP address or the server name of the E-mail server 
    (SMTP). To enter the server name, the DNS server needs to be 
    set up.
    3  [MAIL FROM]
    Enter the E-mail address of the projector. (Up to 63 characters 
    in single byte)
    4  [MEMO]
    Enter information such as the location of the projector that 
    notifies the sender of the E-mail. (Up to 63 characters in single 
    byte) 5 
    [MINIMUM TIME]
    Change the minimum interval for the temperature warning 
    E-mail. The default value is 60 minutes. In this case, another 
    E-mail will not be sent for 60 minutes after sending the 
    temperature warning E-mail even if it reaches the warning 
    temperature.
    6  [INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE]
    Change the temperature setting for the temperature warning 
    mail. A temperature warning E-mail is sent when the 
    temperature exceeds this value.

    Enter the E-mail address to be sent. Leave [E-MAIL ADDRESS 
    2] blank when two E-mail addresses are not to be used.
    8  Settings of the conditions to send E-mail
    Selects the conditions to send E-mail.
    [MAIL CONTENTS]: 
    Selects either [NORMAL] or [SIMPLE].
    [ERROR]: 
    Sends an E-mail when an error occurred in the self-diagnosis.
    [LAMP RUNTIME]: 
    Sends an E-mail when the remaining time for the lamp has 
    reached the value set at the right field. [INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE]: 
    Sends an E-mail when the air intake temperature has reached 
    the value set at the above field.
    [PERIODIC REPORT]: 
    Places a check mark on this to send an E-mail periodically.
    It will be sent on the days and the time with the check mark.
    9  [Submit]
    Updates the settings. 
    [Authentication set up] page
    Set the authentication items when POP authentication or SMTP authentication is necessary to send an E-mail.
    Click [Detailed set up] 
    → [Authentication set up].
