    • To display it whenever you press the A/V Mutebutton, select A/V Muteand set it to Logo.
    To prevent anyone from changing the Users Logo settings without first entering a password, set a
    password and enable Users Logo security.

    							Locking the Projectors Buttons
    You can lock the buttons on the projectors control panel to prevent anyone from using the projector. You
    can lock all the buttons or all the buttons except the power button.
    1. Press theMenubutton.
    2. Select the Settingsmenu and press Enter.
    3. Select the Control Panel Lock setting and pressEnter.
    4. Select one of these lock types and press Enter:
    • To lock all of the projectors buttons, select Full Lock.
    • To lock all buttons except the power button, select Partial Lock.
    You see a confirmation prompt.
    5. Select Yesand press Enter.

    							Installing a Security Cable
    You can install two types of security cables on the projector to deter theft.
    • Use the security slot on the projector to attach a Kensington lock. See your local computer orelectronics dealer for purchase information.
    • Use the security cable attachment point on the projector to attach a wire cable and secure it to a room fixture or heavy furniture.
    Note: Do not pass drop-prevention cables through the security cable attachment point when mounting
    the projector on a wall or ceiling.

    Creating a User Pattern to Display You can transfer an image to the projector and then display it as a pattern to aid in presentations when
    you use the Pattern Display feature. This transferred image is called the User Pattern.
    1. Display the image you want to project as the User Pattern from a connected computer or videosource.

    Menubutton, select the Settingsmenu, and press Enter.
    3. Select the Patternsetting and press Enter.
    4. Select the User Patternsetting and press Enter.
    You see a prompt asking if you want to use the displayed image as a User Pattern.
    5. Select Yesand press Enter.
    Note: It takes a few moments for the projector to save the image; do not use the projector, its remote
    control, or any connected equipment until it is finished.
    You see a completion message.
    6. Press Escto exit the message screen.

    Projector Identification System for Multiple Projector Control You can operate multiple projectors using one remote control for more elaborate presentations. To do
    this, you assign an identification number to each projector and to the remote control. Then you can
    operate all the projectors at once or individually.
    You can also match the colors displayed by any projectors you plan to use near each other.

    Leave at least 2 feet (60 cm) of space between the projectors to prevent them from
    overheating.

    Setting the Projector ID If you want to control multiple projectors from a remote control, give each projector a unique ID.
    1. Press theMenubutton.
    2. Select the Extendedmenu and press Enter.
    3. Select Projector ID and pressEnter.
    4. Use the arrow buttons on the remote control to select the identification number you want to use for the projector. Then press Enter.
    Repeat these steps for all the other projectors you want to operate from one remote control.

    							Setting the Remote Control ID
    The remote controls ID is set to zero by default so it can operate any compatible projector. If you want to
    set the remote control to operate only a particular projector, you need to set the remote controls ID to
    match the projectors ID.
    1. Turn on the projector you want the remote control to operate with exclusively.
    2. Make sure you know the projectors ID number as set in the Extended menu Projector IDsetting.
    Note: If you have forgotten the projectors ID, aim the remote at the projector and press the ID
    button. The projectors ID will display on the screen temporarily.
    3. Aim the remote control at that projector.
    4. Hold down the IDbutton on the remote control while you press the numeric button that matches the
    projectors ID. Then release the buttons.
    5. Press the IDbutton on the remote control to check if the ID-setting process worked.
    You see a message displayed by the projector.
    • If the remote control is listed as On, the remote control ID is set to operate only the listed projector.
    • If the remote control is listed as Off, the remote control ID is not set properly. Repeat the steps
    above to set the ID to match the projector you want to control.
    Note: You must set the remote control ID to match the projector ID each time you turn on the
    projector you have set it to control.

    							Matching Multiple-Projector Display Quality
    You can match the display quality of multiple projectors that will project next to each other.
    1. Turn on all the projectors on which you want to match the display quality.
    2. Set ID numbers on each projector.
    3. Set the remote control ID to match the first projector.
    4. Press theMenubutton, select the Imagemenu, and press Enter.
    5. Select settings as necessary.
    6. Set the remote control ID to match the next projector, then select Image menu adjustments as necessary to match the projectors displays.
    Note: The brightness and tint may not match exactly even after adjustments. If brightness and tint
    differences become more noticeable over time, repeat the adjustments.

    Projecting Two Images Simultaneously You can use the split screen feature to simultaneously project two images from different image sources
    next to each other. You can control the split screen feature using the remote control or the projector
    menus.

    							Note:
    While you use the split screen feature, other projector features may not be available and some
    settings may be automatically applied to both images.
    1. Press the Splitbutton on the remote control.
    The currently selected input source moves to the left side of the screen.
    2. Press the Menubutton.
    You see this screen:
    3. To select an input source for the other image, select the Sourcesetting, press Enter, select the
    input source, select Execute, and press Enter. (You can also change image sources, if necessary.)
    4. To switch the images, select the Swap Screenssetting and press Enter.
    5. To change the image sizes, select the Screen Sizesetting, press Enter, select a sizing option,
    press Enter, and press Menuto exit.

    							Note:
    Depending on the video input signals, the images may not appear at the same size even if you
    choose the Equalsetting.
    6. To choose the audio you want to hear, select the Audio Sourcesetting, pressEnter, select an
    audio option, press Enter, and pressMenuto exit.
    Note: Select Autoto hear audio from the largest screen or the left screen.
    7. To exit the split screen feature, press the SplitorEsc button.

    Copying Menu Settings Between Projectors After you select menu settings for your projector, you can transfer them to another projector of the same
    model.
    Note:Any saved Users Logo setting on the projector will transfer to the other projector.
    The following settings will not transfer between projectors:
    • Info menu items
    • Network menu settings other than those in the Mail and Others menus

    Saving Settings to a USB Flash Drive You can save the projector settings you want to transfer to a USB flash drive.
    Note:Use an empty flash drive. If the drive contains other files, the transfer may not complete correctly.
    1. Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord from the projectors power inlet.

    USB-Aport.
    Note: Connect the flash drive directly to the projector. Do not use a hub.
    3. Press and hold the Escbutton on the control panel or remote control as you connect the power cord
    to the projectors power inlet.
    4. When the power, Status, Lamp, and Temp lights turn on, release the Escbutton.
