Locking theProjector s Buttons You canlock thebuttons onthe projectors controlpaneltoprevent anyonefromusing theprojector. You can lock allthe buttons orall the buttons exceptthepower button. 1. Press theMenu button. 2. Select theSettings menuandpress Enter. 3. Select theControl PanelLocksetting andpress Enter. 4. Select oneofthese locktypes andpress Enter: • To lock allofthe projectors buttons,selectFullLock . • To lock allbuttons exceptthepower button, selectPartial Lock. You seeaconfirmation prompt. 5. TheEasy Interactive Driversoftware isavailable onthe EPSON Projector Software forEasy Interactive FunctionCDthat came withtheprojector. Thesoftware isalso available for download fromtheEpson website. Thissimple process ensures that your computer canaccurately detecttheposition ofthe pen onthe projection surface. You need tocalibrate beforeusingthepen forthe first time, orifyou change theresolution onyour computer orconnect adifferent computer. Youcanuseeither penforcalibration. Two types ofcalibration areavailable: • Normal ,which isfaster andappropriate formost situations (25calibration points) • Advanced ,which isrecommended whenyouneed higher accuracy (49calibration points) You may need torecalibrate ifyou change theprojectors aspectratioorifyou change thefollowing settings: AutoSetup ,Resolution ,Tracking ,Sync ,Position ,Aspect ,Keystone ,or Zoom. 1. Tostart calibrating, doone ofthe following: • Windows: Clickthe iconinthe system trayonyour taskbar (lowerrightcorner ofyour screen), then select Calibrate (Normal)orCalibrate (Advanced) . • Mac OSX:Click the iconinthe Dock, select Calibrate fromthemenu bar,then select Calibrate (Normal)orCalibrate (Advanced) . 2. After youread themessage aboutcalibration, clickOK. You seeaflashing greencircleinthe upper leftcorner ofyour projected image. 3. Touch thecenter ofthe circle withthetipofthe pen. The circle stops flashing andturns black. Youseeanother circleonthe right. 105
Note: Forthemost accurate calibration, makesureyouhold thepen atan angle tothe projection surface andtouch thecenter ofthe circle. 4. Touch thecenter ofthe next circle, thenrepeat. Whenyougettothe end ofthe row, thenext circle appears atthe leftedge ofanew row. Note: Makesureyouarenotblocking thesignal between thepen andtheinteractive module.Dont press thebutton onthe pen while calibrating. If you make amistake orthe circles startjumping ahead,pressEsconyour computer keyboardand restart thecalibration process. 5. Continue untilallofthe circles areblack. 106
