 Safety  precautions
This air cleaner should only be used in a domestic 
environment.
This appliance is not intended for use by 
persons (including children) with reduced 
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack 
of experience and knowledge, unless they have 
been given supervision or instruction concerning 
use of the appliance by a person responsible for 
their safety.

Getting started
  CAUTION: The fi  lters are protected in 
plastic wrap which must be removed before 
fi  rst usage of the Air cleaner.
1  Remove the front panel by grasping the 
bottom outside edges and gently pulling 
towards.
2  Pull out the wrapped fi lters gently.
3  Remove the plastic wrap from fi lters. Return 
the HEPA Filter and then the Carbon fi lter into 
the main unit.
4  Replace the front panel by hooking it onto 
the top of the unit and snap into place.

5 Remote Control*
•  Open the cover and insert the 2 AA batteries 
as shown (Fig. 8).
•  Always replace both batteries. Incorrect 
battery usage may cause battery fl uid leakage 
and/or damage.
•  When not using the remote control for an 
extended period of time, remove the 
batteries.
•  Avoid dropping or damaging the remote 
control. Keep remote control away from direct 
sunlight or heaters.
•  Operate the remote control within 6 meters 
from the air cleaner and facing the air cleaner.

•  NOTE: For replacement fi lters visit 
www.electrolux.com.
•  Push reset button (8) on inside of unit for 5 
seconds until a beep is heard after changing 
HEPA fi lter and replace the front panel. Turn 
on the unit again.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Before You Call – here are solutions to the most 
common problems. This list covers problems 
that are not the result of defective materials or 
workmanship.
The remote control does not work.*
•  Make sure the remote control batteries 
are inserted correctly or...

7 The odour light is on high, but the air seems 
clean.
•  There may be gases in the air that are odour 
free. – Wait for 12 hours to see if the problem 
remains.
•  Clear the sensor with a vacuum cleaner, as it 
may be blocked or clogged.
The FILTER indicator remains lit after 
replacing the fi lter.
•  Turn the unit off  and remove the front panel. 
Press and hold down the reset button on the 
upper left hand side of the unit for 5 seconds. 
The unit will beep and the FILTER light will go

Operazioni preliminari
  AVVERTENZA: i fi  ltri sono protetti da un 
involucro di plastica che deve essere rimosso 
prima di utilizzare il purifi  catore d’aria per la 
prima volta.
1  Rimuovere il pannello frontale aff errandolo 
per i bordi esterni inferiori e tirando 
delicatamente.
2  Estrarre con cautela i fi ltri avvolti nel loro 
involucro di protezione.
3  Rimuovere l’involucro di plastica. 
Riposizionare il fi ltro HEPA e quindi il fi ltro al 
carbone attivo nell’unità principale.
