No Signal
The message No signal present: check the source or connections to the
projector is displayed when there is no signal on the selected input. This means
that both HSYNC and VSYNC are inactive and the screen background is black.
Bad Sync
The message Bad Sync followed by a short description of the problem is
displayed when HSYNC or VSYNC are active but the signal cannot be

Do not operate the Xenon lamp for more than 750 hours; risk of the lamp
shattering increases as a result of changes in the quartz glass. Also, operation
beyond 750 hours significantly reduces brightness.
WARNING
Never attempt to remove the lamp directly after use. The
lamp is under great pressure when hot and may explode,
causing personal injury and/or property damage. Allow to
cool completely and handle by the plastic housing only.

in an enclosure unless proper ventilation is provided.

The high brightness of VistaPro 2000 is provided by a 1 kilowatt Xenon lamp
permanently assembled in a sturdy polymer housing. When the lamp approaches
750 hours of usage this lamp module should be replaced. To determine how
many hours the lamp has been used, press 
 and go to the Status menu.
Current Lamp Hours indicates the number of hours logged on the lamp.

Then unlatch the inner lamp door by unscrewing the thumbscrews near the top
edge. Lift up and pull the door straight out from the projector (Figure 4.3).

Remove the old lamp module
Grasp the handle of the lamp assembly and pull forward slightly. Then move the
module to the left as far as possible and pull straight out of the projector (Figure
4.5). Pull firmly while keeping your grip level so that the module does not tilt.

Or, if you prefer, you can dispose of the old lamp as described below:
1.  For safe disposal, first relieve the pressure within the lamp module by
opening the lamp gas valve and allowing the Xenon gas to escape. This
valve lies beneath a small plastic seal protruding from the right end the

Insert the narrow end of the bracket into the slot on the right side of the lamp
compartment and push firmly to the right. Secure with two screws along the left

Power up the projector
Plug in the projector and press 
 to turn it on. Allow the projector to warm
up for about five minutes.
Reset the lamp timer
In the Status menu, call up the Lamp Changed text box and enter the new lamp
serial number (see Section 3, Operation if you need help entering text). Once the
serial number is entered, the lamp timer will automatically reset to 0 hours and
begin to log time.
