INSTALLATION & SETUP VistaPro 2000 Users Manual2-3 Front Screen Installations There are two basic screen types: flat and curved. INSTALLATION & SETUP VistaPro 2000 Users Manual2-4 Rear Screen Installations There are two basic types of rear screens: diffused and optical. A diffused screen has a surface which spreads the light striking it. Purely diffused screens have a gain of less than 1. INSTALLATION & SETUP VistaPro 2000 Users Manual2-7 Throw distance is roughly equal to the width of the screen multiplied by the type of lens you are using. For example, if using a 1.2:1 lens, throw distance should be roughly equal to 1.2 x the screen width. Once you know your screen size, you can determine how far away the projector should be: Table 2.1 Lens Type Approx. Throw Distance 5:1 5 x screen width 1.2:1 1.2 x screen width 1.5:1 - 3:1 1.5 x screen width up to 3 x screen width 3:1 - 7:1 3 x...
