NoteAll of the Catalyst 4500 E-series switch chassis are designed to install in standard 19-inch racks.
•The rack must have sufficient vertical clearance to insert the chassis. The chassis heights are as 
follows:
–Catalyst 4503-E switch—12.25 inches (31.12 cm) (7 RU)

•Grounding lug—A two-hole standard barrel lug that supports up to 6 AWG wire. The grounding lug 
is upplied as part of accessory kit.
