This feature allows you to make calls or use the phone’s functions by simply using your voice. All you have to do is talk into the phone and the phone will recognize your voice and complete tasks by itself. 1. Press the Center Select key [MENU], select Settings & Tools and press the Center Select key [O K]. Select Tools and press the Center Select key [ O K]. Select Voice Commands then press the Center Select key [ O K]. Shortcut: With the flip open, press the Voice Commands key O on the left side of your phone to access Voice Commands. 2. The phone displays the Voice Commands menu and prompts you to say the name of the command you want to use. To complete your task, simply follow the voice prompts. You can speak the name of the command after you hear a beep. You can hear a beep in the T one Only Mode (MENU > Settings & Tools > Phone Settings > Voice Commands Settings > Prompts > Mode > Tones Only ) while you can see a prompt without a beep sound in the Prompts, Readout + Alerts , or Readout . 3. Select either Call , Send , Go To , Check , Contact , Redial, My Verizon or Help and press the Center Select key [ O K]. 4. Wh en it recognizes one of these commands, the phone launches the associated application. If the phone does not hear a command within approximately eight seconds, AVC mode will turn itself off. CALL : Use the Call command to voice dial a name from your Contact List or a phone number. When dialing a number, pronounce each digit, but do not pause noticeably between the digits. 1. SENSITIVITY: The Sensitivity setting controls how the voice recognition software determines when a spoken word is a match. If you frequently experience the messages Please Repeat or No Match Found, adjust the sensitivity toward Reject Less. If you frequently experience false activations (when the phone recognizes a name you didn’t say), adjust the sensitivity toward Most Sensitive. 1. Users who get acceptable recognition accuracy will find no additional benefit to performing the Adapt Voice adaptation. 1. W ALkING COUNTERThe Walking Counter counts the number of steps you take.You can change the following operation modes by pressing the Right Soft key D. • Pedometer: The number of steps you take in a day are measured with the pedometer, and the distance you walked and the estimated number of calories you burned are displayed. If you keep Pedometer on while not using it, the battery life may be reduced. • Virtual Trek: The distance you hike is calculated based on the number of steps taken. Your distance hiked, and trail milestones are displayed on the screen.

T IDESThe Tides displays the high and low tide times.You can change the following operation modes by pressing the Right Soft key D. • One-Day View: Displays the tidal graph for a single day. • Current View: Displays the current tide and the time appropriate for fishing. S UNRISE SUNSETThe Sunrise Sunset displays the times of sunrise and sunset.You can change the following operation modes by pressing the Right Soft key D. • Tracking: Displays the position of the Sun. • Day/Night: Displays the ratio between day and night in numeric and graphic form. A STRO CALENDARThe Astro Calendar displays the moon’s phase and date in the lunar cycle, and days until full moon and new moon. You can change the following operation modes by pressing the Right Soft key D. • Lunar Phase: Displays the phase of the Moon. • Cosmic View: Displays the location of Sun, Moon, and Earth. USING G’ZGEAR® WITh ThE FLIP CL OSEDYou can use the G’zGEAR function when the handset’s flip is closed.1. BLUETOOThBluetooth technology enables wireless connections between electronic devices. If connected with a Bluetooth Handsfree device, you can use your phone more freely. Since devices with Bluetooth connectivity communicate using radio waves, your phone and the other device do not need to be in direct line-of-sight. The two devices only need to be within 10 meters (30 feet) of each other. The connection can be subject to interference from obstructions such as walls or other electronic devices. This device is compliant with Bluetooth Specification 3.0, supporting the following profiles: Headset, Handsfree, Dial Up Networking, Stereo, Phonebook Access, Basic Printing, Basic Imaging, and Object Push for vCard and vCalendar. To ensure interoperability between other devices supporting Bluetooth technology, use approved enhancements for this model. Check with the manufacturers of other devices to determine their compatibility with this phone. There may be restrictions on using Bluetooth technology in some locations. ADD NEW DEVICEPairing is the process that allows the handset to locate, establish and register a 1-to-1 connection with the target device. 1. Press the Center Select key [Menu], then select Settings & Tools and press the Center Select key [ O K]. 2. Se lect Bluetooth and press the Center Select key [ O K]. 3. Se lect Add New Device and press the Center Select key [ O K]. 4. Th e handset will prompt you with the following message on the screen: PLACE DEVICE YOU ARE CONNEC TING TO IN DISCOVERABLE MODE. Press the Center Select key [ O K]. 5. Th e device will appear in the Add New Device menu. Select the device to pair to and press the Center Select key [PAIR]. 6. If applicable, the handset may prompt you for the password. Consult the Bluetooth® accessory (sold separately) instructions for the appropriate passkey (typically 0000. 4 zeroes). Enter the passkey and press the Center Select key [ O K ]. You do not need to input the passkey for pairing when the passkey of the Bluetooth® H eadset or hands-free kit is 0000. 7. The handset will prompt you with the following message on the LCD screen: Before Connecting To [Device Name]. If you would like to always confirm before connecting to the Bluetooth device, select Always Ask, then press the Center Select key [ O K]. Then the handset will prompt you with the message “Connect To [Device Name]?” Select Yes. If you do not wish to confirm every time before connecting to the Bluetooth device, select Always Connect, then press the Center Select key [ O K].

Once connected, you will see the device listed in the Bluetooth menu and the B luetooth device connected icon will appear at the top of the screen when connected to the Bluetooth device. • In the Bluetooth menu, you can turn off the device by pressing the Left Soft key C [Turn Off]. Conversely, you can turn on by pressing the Left Soft key C [Turn On]. • If multiple devices are displayed, select the device you want to connect to. OPTIONS 1. Or, press the Center Select key [ O K] to access Send Name Card, Send Picture, Send Video, Send Calendar Event, Get Name Card, Exchange Name Card, Browse / Get Files. Select the desired option and press the Center Select key [ O K] to access the following: • Send Name Card: Allows you to send name cards stored in Contacts to a selected device. 1. SETTINGS MY PhONE NAME: T o edit the Bluetooth® name of your phone: 1. Press the Center Select key [MENU], then select Settings & Tools and press the Center Select key [ O K]. 2. Se lect Bluetooth and press the Center Select key [ O K]. 3. Pr ess the Right Soft key D [Options]. 4. Se lect My Phone Name and press the Center Select key [ O K]. 5. En ter a new custom name. 6. Pr ess the Center Select key [ S ET] to save.
