RestrictingMachineOperationYou can restrict printing, copying, or faxing operations or to use a USB flash drive or a shared folder on the
computer. Restrictions can be disabled temporality.
Disabling Operation Restriction Temporarily
To enable this function, apply the administrator password for changing settings on the operation panel.
Setting Administrator Password on Operation Panel

E-mailaddressbookRestricts operations related to the printer's e-mail address book.
FAXtransmission Restricts to send a fax from the printer. (Sending a fax from the computer is not restricted.)
FAXreception Restricts to receive a fax.

7.Select Yes on displayed screen and press  OK button.8.
Press  OK button on displayed screen.

Specify password.

Press  OK button.

Enter password you specified again.

The override password is enabled.

ResetsettingSelect this setting item from  Devicesettings on Setup .
Returns all settings you made to the printer back to the default. However, some data may not be changed,
depending on the current usage state of your printer.

This setting allows you to use following functions.

Sets two-sided copying as a default.

Sets duplex printing of PDF files saved on a USB flash drive as a default.

FAXprint
Select two-sided printing of sent/received faxes, reports, or lists as a default.

Autopoweroff
Specifies the length of time to turn the printer off automatically when no operation is made or no
printing data is sent to the printer.
2.
Autopoweron
Selecting  ON enables the printer to turn on automatically when a scanning command from a
computer or printing data is sent to the printer.
