Receiving Documents 5-2 Basic Receiving Method Follow this procedure to set up the machine to receive faxes. For advanced receiving functions, see Chapter 4, “Sending and Receiving (MF6595cx/ MF6595/MF6590 Only),” in the Reference Guide. Enter the Setting MenuEnter the Receive Mode Press [Additional Functions].Press [] or [] to select , then press [OK]. Press [] or [] to select , then press [OK].
5-3 Receiving Documents Select the Receive ModeExit the Setting Menu Press [] or [] to select the receive mode, then press [OK]. : Answers all calls as faxes.: Switches between fax and voice calls automatically if an external telephone is connected to the machine.: Receives faxes automatically and records voice messages.: Distinguishes between fax and voice calls if you want to use an external telephone.: Does not answer any calls. Receiving Documents 5-4 Canceling RX Jobs Follow the procedure below to cancel an ongoing receive job. 1 Press [Stop]. 2 When the message appears, press [] to select . CANCELDURINGTX/RX? If you are in the copy or scan standby mode and want to cancel a fax job, press [FAX] to return to the fax mode first.
5-5 Receiving Documents Checking and Deleting RX Jobs System monitor enables you to view the reception result and monitor the status of the received jobs currently being processed. Checking Reception Results 1 Press [System Monitor]. 2 Press [] or [] to select , then press [OK]. If you set to in , reception result does not appear in the LCD. 3 Press [] or [] to view the required reception result. 4 Press [Stop] to return to the standby mode.

If you want to delete or forward the job, go to step 4. Otherwise, press [Stop] to return to the standby mode. 4 Press [] or [] to select the desired job, then press [OK].
