AC
Alternating Current. The type of electrical current typically available from household wall 
outlets.
Adapter

Collate
To print multiple copies of a multi-page document in sequential page order.
Command
An instruction that tells the printer to perform a certain function. Commands are sent from the 
computer to the printer via the interface cable when the printer is ready.
Contrast
The degree of difference between the lightest and darkest areas of an image. Decreasing 
contrast lightens the dark areas and darkens the light areas; increasing it darkens the dark areas
